Why does Paypal limit Accounts?

My Paypal accounts for some reason keep getting limited. I made an account and fully verified it. It was a Canadian Paypal and I live in the U.S. It was all stealth info too. It was limited permanently today, but the account had almost $900 in it so i think that was probably it. Anyone have an idea as to what is happening here. What does Paypal look for when limiting accounts. I transfered almost $300 out of it as well all in the last two weeks.

Thanks for the useful info

Read the stealth book.

It's a fairly simple equation

First of all Paypals biggest priority is Paypal. Once you realise and accept that you can begin to understand that ANYTHING that they perceive in ANY WAY to be a threat to the biggest priority brings a whole catalogue of possible events into play

Usually resulting in limitation, suspension etc.

As GreenBean says - learn to use Paypal or pack in E Commerce where Paypal is used

Yes I suppose it's trial and error. Some day I'll get it all right. I'm probably letting to much money build up in the account though. The less you sell the better.

BiN4RY I have read the stealth book.

I would think it would be the Canadian paypal and your American IP address.

If its a Canadian pp with American IP accessing...that's DEFINITELY a big flag. Other flags are what you sell, how you withdraw, etc...

SquantoPaco 08-22-2012 04:21 PM

Thank you. I will use a Canadian IP from now on. I though there had to be something I was doing wrong.

Your MO ( modus operandi) is not liked by paypal.
How you operate an account suxs.

Your activity appears a risk.

paypal defends itself. That is their right.

Bigger question....why aren't you using a US paypal and avoid the problem(s)?

Javelin 08-22-2012 11:03 PM

You transferred a huge amount of $300 out of it, and it's a newly created account and fully verified. That raised a flag, next is your Canadian Pa ypal connected to a US feeBay account. Try to move more slowly next time, but having $900 frozen for the next 6 months sucks. Really really sucks big time. Good luck to you and all of us in getting better with experience and age.
