Refund from Credit Card to buyer's balance?

Hello everybody
I have sold a $350 item 40 days ago, but the item returned to me so I sent an email to the buyer that the item was brought back to me, now I have in my balance only 100$, and in my Credit Card balance I do have like $400, how can I refund him if I do not have the money in balance? When I try to, pp writes I can't because the balance is lower than $300 and they suggest to add a bank acc, but I do not have one, just the prepaid card. What can I do to solve this? I do have another pp acc, should I send there the mony and "refund" to myself so I have mony in my balance?

Thansk everyone.

Why would you risk linking your paypal accounts by doing that? :juggle:

I know it sounds bad... How can I solve this? The other pp acc is already linked from 2 years ago, it is also linked to a different eb acc, it has 3fb (currently 0 because it was 2 yrs ago), but it will get a big suspect if I send there money and refund myself. I'm afraid to do that.

How can I refund this buyer? Should I call pp? Are they able to help me on this?
Many thanks for help.

ask the buyer to send you an invoice for the amount you need to send and pay him through the invoice using credit card.

or use western union to send the buyer the money.

do not involve your other account.

Can you add money to your account using the green dot money cards?

Fullon 09-14-2012 07:06 AM

No :/
Ok 45 days passed and he did not open a case.
Anyway he is not so responsive, but his money... I need to pay about 4% more if he sends me an invoice, because of pp fees

Any way to get pp/eb fees back?

The buyer isn't responsive, about 50 days have passed. From one side I want to be honest and give him his money, but It's $350... I do hope he won't answer the message at all. I'm so broke lol.

Is he able to contact pp and open a claim against me? I think it's for 45 days only, right?
If I will sell something soon I will just refund from my balance to not loose pp/eb fees TWICE! (1x payment received, 1x send payment).
