Paypal and Shipito.com

Hi Guys,

I wonder if anyone here has used shipito.com?

I have had a paypal payment put on hold and so my shipito.com account also went on hold

I dont know why its on hold and no one seems to be able to tell me. shipito tell me that they will only accept bank transfer which is not secure, even if the payment clears however i have had 3 different story's now some telling me i can use cards again some telling me i cant and i dunno where i stand.

Has anyone here ever had a payment returned from shipito.com or put on hold and cleared and if so what happened in your experiance? did you get your outstanding parcels? Or have to pay via bank transfer?

Your comments and help would be much appreciated as i am really worried my stock could just be stolen and auctioned off by this company

Thanks :-)

While I have no direct experience, there are a few posts around by knowledgeable members on this so maybe find and pm them for advice. OR wait for postings

If you have used this company as a freight forwarder, then you have created problems.
What plan did you try to use?

Hmm I did not read that shipito was a huge problematic company

I have used them so made the comment based on that per the request of the OP

I have read up on them before as I planned to use them. Never did though. Didnt come through anything negative.

what makes you feel as though bank transfer would not be safe with them? Have they been moving your product on regular basis?

Im sure this could be worked out with a phone call.

Hi

Yes i do use it as a mail forwarder. Ive seen a few reports on sites such as hello peter and rip off report saying they had massive problems getting thier stock back once their account was put on hold.

I called them and explained that its just $10.. a drop in the pond compared to what i have spent previously, however one person refused to accept the stock would be sent, one person told me they were going to close my account and a 3rd person told me that i could re-instate my account and might be able to pay with credit card.

The reason i struggle with bank transfer is because if i send $400 via bank transfer there is no gaurantee that it will be credited to my account and if it disappears, theres no way of getting a bank transfer recalled without the express permission of the account holder

Has anyone here ever had a paypal charge back against shipito? and if so did you get your debit / credit card facilities restored?

Thanks :-):juggle:

this happened to me after i deposited from my paypal (of different name/stealth)

had to do the 90% verification (2 forms of id bill etc) then i told them to refund the paypal and i will wire money in future only

Problem was solved after i verfied.

Its best to wire money to them rather than paypal

You are in the USA, so you wont have problems wiring money to them, where as the OP is in the UK and we get charged around £20 to transfer funds abroad, and i am guessing by the amount of parcels they handle, money can get lost, as i have sent money abroad a few times and the references you state on the reciept of payment hardly ever go on the receivers bank account, which gives everyone a headache.

I have wired money to them before at a cost of $18.75 bank feewas always credited to my account within 24 hours

I once used citibank money bank (a free transfer thing since me and they have citi bank) toke them a while locate the money and shipito charged my $50 fee (as per thier term)

Re: Paypal and Shipito.com

Well Shipito is not bad, but they're pretty expensive - when you compare it to the PlanetExpress their shipping fee is much lower and they offer basically the same as Shipito, so I'd go with Planet if you want to save some bucks

Re: Paypal and Shipito.com

Had a package stuck at shipito for 2 months because they couldn't process cards or accept pp. Worst customer service ever.
Had to bank wire the funds to have them ship the package.
