if there any risks in purchasing a gift – card with paypal funds?
...in terms of stealth, and cost?

I can ask the question in a more specific way. So, how can PP know what you are buying, If you order online. It follows to ask if PP match names from online order and paypal account. I looked through the terms of service for one online shop, it says that no 3rd party will have access to your information. Well is PP a 3rd party, if using to pay directly.... oh

As long as as funds in pp are free and clear and you do NOT use a suspended address, you should be fine.

I wasnt clear that this is what you meant. This is quite suspicious. Your info should be the same used on pp. I will admit that I have not tried this

Why not much purchase the gift card with your debit card. It might just be me but I dont buy anything online using funds already in paypal. I use my debit card. I dont know or wont remember if the address I use to ship the gift card was used somehow in a suspended account. It gets hard to keep track of what address to this and that.

Keep it simple, withdraw money to bank and use debit card. But anyways, if the address was not used in any suspend account in your pass then your good to go.

Will they ship the gift card out if the address doesnt match? I don't think so.

If you buy something online and change the shipping address it's a red flag for paypal..

I purchase vanilla visas from walmart and change names, haven't had a problem doing that but my last account won't let me phone verify and says I can't purchase without phone verifying so I don't know. This is frustrating

It isn't. It's only a red flag if the address you're changing to is previously suspended

what online retailer is it?

is it an e-card or one that goes to your address? an e-card would be better...
