What exactly is Confirm Identity
 

Hi,
Regarding Confirm Identity requirement on PayPal (I repeat PayPal and NOT ebay):
One of the requirements that I have to pass in my limited verified personal account is Confirm Identity. I know this could be done (depends what PayPal requires from particular member) via ID document or via phone call. They require me to receive the phone call and not ID document.

Now I would like to know what exactly is Confirm Identity? I know it is receiving of phone call (as what they want from me) but what exactly will be this phone call about? Will it be digit code?
Probably yes but the word IDENTITY sounds a bit suspicious to me. It might be something else than digit code but I hope it will be, on the automated phone call, digit code - same as on second step of Confirm Location (first step is adding the card that matches address but thats not topic of my post).

has noone of you done this particular requirement (Confirm Identity) to get paypal account unlimited? If anyone did, for sure he/she/you would know the answer.

only pin code? Why? Pin code is already in Confirm Location.

Would help the confusion - remove your ID details however.

Then why pin code via received automated phone call TWICE for two different requirements of the SAME limited verified account?

ebay and paypal is run by idiots, so yes. it might be possible

The "Confirm Identity" step varies from country to country so users should be aware that advice given on the thread may not be relevant to their own circumstances / country.

I was asking for the USA as the country where the account is registered to based on registration (sign up) form. If that information makes you answer my question more exactly, I would appreciate it a lot.
