paypal help please
 

I have $72 on my paypal, and when i try to send money as little as $20 it says add funds to your paypal account before sending, any ideas why ?

May the funds are not in your account yet. For example, when you have a new account and you sell an item and someone buys that item and have paid it will show up on your paypal that u have this amount but u really dont because paypal holds it awhile to make sure buyers has received the item and as no complaints.

Did you not ask this question on another thread? Swear I answered it with a question first....anyhow, perhaps your funds are being held? Or you got paid via eCheck?

In your other thread, I asked if your US funds were in fact cleared & ready to spend.

You have not said which country paypal.
I have had a UK paypal do this when the other currency funds were not cleared.

It is a Canadian Paypal but the funds are in USD, i sent $48 about 2 hours before i tried to send the $70...The funds are not pending or anything.

Odd. Are the listings in Canadian dollars or another currency other than USD?

1st Potential Reason: Could be you have some setting like "auto conversion" off, where it would auto convert the currency.

If you are buying something that is already in USD and you have only USD in your account, then I really can't see what the issue would be..

2nd Potential Reason: Other than maybe this money $72, is just showing as in your account at the top, but in one of those 21 day holds (which happens to newer sellers).

But, you mentioned it is not on hold..

3rd Potential: could be you have it set to by default pull the money from your bank account. In such a case, just change the "payment type" when paying.

4th If the Above Fails: Maybe you have the seller send you a direct paypal invoice. Or you try to just send them the money directly from paypal.

In other words, just find another way to pay with paypal as maybe the way you are doing it is defaulting to your bank account or something..

doesn't say any money is pending or anything...i have tried paying with the person sending me an invoice and same problem occurs, been like this for 3 days now.

5th option would be to call up PP - I wouldnt but just saying.
