Buying or Creating a New Paypal Account - Per situation, which is better?

Just lost a solid stealth paypal account and looking to replace it quickly.

Here is the issue. I sell outside of Ebay (which is a +), yet I do higher dollar items (some are low but also half are higher dollar, like $100 or more).

I usually can do 3 to 8 orders a day easily.

So, what I am wondering is should I create my own account again or should I buy one?

If I create, I am wondering how long I have to wait before I can just plug it into my sales (3 to 8 sales a day, around $500 a day).

Do I need to do a few orders first and get some traction? Wait a month?

I am wondering what I need to do to prime it to be ready for my normal sales.

OR, should I just buy one that is a month old?

OR, maybe one that is a month old and has a couple sales already on it?

When possible, always best to create the pp - learn the right techniques and KNOW all your ins and outs.

What was the cause of losing the paypal?

What steps will be in place to not repeat the same errors on the next one?

Buying or creating a paypal and repeating the same patterns will be futile.

Could you consider a merchant account?

Valid questions to ask and follow-up. Identify the mistakes/problems to correct.

Honestly, I think it was just the fact that I was doing higher dollar items and selling about 6 or more a day of them.

It could have been the $2300 dollar order that came in like a day before I was frozen.

I ended up refunding him. I figure Paypal is just scared I may screw them, so they just limited me and said "Prove who you are".

The only thing I can think of that could tie me in any way was I had a return "thank you page" on my paypal button that went back to my website, which I have used on other paypal accounts.

Other than that, I was clean.

I had the account for about a year and a half.

That was while having a 12 year old account and another 1 year old account.

Basically, I do not ever get caught, but I am wondering about the IPN and the thankyou.html page on my paypal button, if they somehow back track and realize it was on the same website.

Or if they just freak out when I have huge dollars coming in.

They do freak out when there is a huge spike - coupled with high risk item

It is very possible that they have linked you through your return page link. As with all things with PayPal it can be a bit of a guessing game.

That is true..

I think what is going on is they are now cracking down on direct sellers through paypal as well.

So, I think the moral of the story is to not have too many big transactions on a newer account.

Also, do not pull out too much money on a newer account.

I am thinking that actually, if you just leave more money in Paypal, while doing big transactions, they are much less likely to freeze you and ask you to prove who you are..

Just a guess..

I will be trying it out on this new account here to see if I am right..
