Help with Paypal Identity proof

I have a paypal account and up until today everything has been fine. I have a TIN on file with them but today I get an email saying I have 14 days to provide proof of identity - DL, proof of address and proof of SSN. My problem is that this account is stealth and linked to my main stealth eBay account. Can I close this paypal account and link a new one with to the still good eBay account? Do the names on the paypal and eBay account have to match? Or do I have to kill the eBay account also, because since this is a stealth paypal account I can't provide proof of ssn.

Once a paypal has been attached to ebay that info and history is linked forever. I suggest you get creative with dl and proof of address. Should be an easy photoshop. Also you can use and ein instead of ssn.

I already have an EIN set up with them and up until now that has been great, but suddenly they are asking for all of this information and I am completely confused as to why.
