Does CitiBank accept incorrect names

I know people here have said Citibank accept mismatched names. But what about incorrect names e.g if real name is Robert Smith on Citi bank account and on amazon/paypal I put Jesus Christ.

Would they accept?

Had CitiBank in the past for US pp account - had no problems with different names - keep the deposits reasonable amounts

whats reasonable because we all have vague ideas?

Reasonable for the history of your acc balance an in coming deposits?

or?

Side question for the room,if I say had a Citi UK acc with PP and was limited perm, could I just close the current acc down, open a new acc nos keeping my real same (bill Brown) name still on the Citi acc but PP would be john smith and NOT Bill Brown as is on the Citi acc with the NEW acc nos, so PP could not know what name is on the Citi acc?

If main acc has been for example compromised not the card number linked to Citi current acc, then you can just close and reapply for a new acc nos.

Citi say its OK

Am I correct here?

I kept deposits under 500 - 1x week...if you do high deposits like 1k+ frequently, I would suspect they might manually review the account.

Not sure if they still do this, but before, if you set up a business paypal account, the banks could NOT see the name on your paypal, they only seen your paypal BUSINESS name.
