'*' How To Deal with Buyer Item Not Received Disputes

Hey guys,

How do you usually deal with "Item not received" disputes, when they file it 2-3 days after purchase?

Shipment for me usually takes 14 business days internationally - this is for Regular registered parcels.

Knowing that Paypal generally sides with the buyer, even if you provide tracking number, what's the best solution then?

This is the reason I stopped selling international.

Shows it was delivered and they still take the side of the buyer.

Hope someone has successfully found a way to beat this so we can all learn.

Only way to beat it is to send your stuff via courier like Dhl and insure. Of course it will pretty much kill your profits so I don't do it.

I've always found that calling paypal is your best bet. That doesn't always work though.

I thought they can't open a dispute for at least 7 days?

For big ticket items, only sell internationally if buyer pays for Fedex or UPS or DHL (for me I mean) - otherwise I dont deal with them - not worth the risk.

Sounds like you are selling some cheap stuff. Best thing to do is figure your are going to get screwed over by this amount of people shipping regular mail international and adjust your prices to reflect it. Make sure yo obviously report the buyer, so eBay has a record of the shady behavior. But that is about all you can do. I don't sell internationally anymore but I remember about 1 in 15 I would get screwed over so I adjusted the shipping prices according to deal with the problems and the shady buyers.
