"We want to move away from passwords, and get to embedded fingerprint scanners on mobile phones.

NO THANKS!

They did something like this at my GYM 3 or 4 years ago. They got rid of membership cards they use to scan in and now have some finger print scanner thing then you type in a PIN. I absolutely refused to do it. Have to show them my ID every time I come in. Big Brother just keeps creeping up on you. I am not surprised some people want this. If people are dumb enough to give out all their personal information on social media then this does not surprise me at all.

A gym that asked for fingerprint ID?!? Wow...people complain of police doing fingerprint ID and a gym goes ahead and tries this... cant believe people would cooperate

Roscoe 03-03-2013 11:07 AM

A lot of gyms do fingerptint ID.

GhostWhoWalks 03-03-2013 11:21 AM

Great news guy! Now you have to hire someone to protect you so they don't cut your fingers off! :pound:

culexevilman 03-03-2013 11:21 AM

How are they going to make it easier?

Why now? I mean its kinda late for this kind of change, you'd have to make alot of people change habits they had for like...forever.

GhostWhoWalks 03-04-2013 03:22 AM

People use to use the internet to communicate, now they use cell phones.

Sandy D 03-04-2013 03:50 AM

To get into Disney World you have to put your finger in the little holder so they can ID you.

Can you believe this stuff.

Disney gets away with it I cannot imagine what is next.

GhostWhoWalks 03-04-2013 04:38 AM

They implant the system into your brain at an early age to kids! It's part of implanting memory.

If you keep telling your kids from an early age about taking them out to ice cream on Sunday for GREEN Ice cream, and you say this over and over again after a while they will believe it and it will implant a memory that was never there.

Which finger do I use?

I have two hands and a hundred phones.

Can I borrow your fingers for a bit MM?

imezi 03-04-2013 12:05 PM

such an absurd thinking.... using biometric gonna need reader device and the same quality of internet connection, paypal couldnt guarantee if reader device A will produce the same exact output as reader device C. If we got connection delay data will also corrupted or distorted so it would not exceed the minimum biometric reading.... its too far away and too fancy for now :D

GhostWhoWalks 03-04-2013 12:24 PM

I would be happy if they came out with this! I would still be ahead of their systems for years to come! Something I had in my head since 2003! :)

BRING IT PAYPAL! This Ghost is waiting! Kill my competition in stealths if they got any! :pound:

Not up here they don't.

Roscoe 03-04-2013 04:38 PM

That's probably because of smaller population.

In large cities in the US, lots of teens share IDs to join gyms. Espcecially the more expensive ones.

Many are now requiring you to stick your finger in a machine to gain access to the club. No thanks, I'm not giving up my Liberty. =}

Banks are doing it now if you try and cash a check at the walkup also.

Most people are stripping naked at the airport so I guess it's just a matter of time for fingerprinting everwhere.

Would stop the need for any ID. Imagine getting that paw slapped across your face?

But I want to go do weights. How you gonna stop me ?

Never heard of fingerprinting at the gym. Guess its about time I head back there

rsot 03-05-2013 06:38 AM

I would never allow an institution to fingerprint me - its just a bad principle.
