I'm counting the days for the following thread:
"Help, Limited because of Coinstar withdrawal"!

Guess I will wait it out.

8% is robbery to me.

Some things look easy but there is always a catch with paypal.

I don't think it's about speed so much Sandy. I feel it will be abused by those who want to remain 100% anonymous as well is their money. If you truly do not need any information attached, won't be long before it becomes popular.

Soon as this info went live everywhere, its long term viability plummeted.

A secret shared is always a secret lost.

doesn't seem like a very good idea to me....

lots of fees
a hassle to actually go to a coinstar
ssn or ein

maybe I am missing something?

MM78 05-04-2013 05:00 PM

Maybe those who are excited want to see how fast they can get limited/banned? :noidea:

Sandy D 05-04-2013 05:10 PM

Waiting for the first person to come on and tell us they got limited or lost several accounts at the same time or something.

I smell something bad with this, could be wrong.

Guess I just dont trust anything pp has their grubby hands on.

GreenBean 05-04-2013 06:32 PM

Whole issue reminds me of lemmings.....

All flocking to the mecca they perceive to be monetary freedom.

Flop time on the horizon

Death by coins.

How?

How does that work? I really need that

Sandy D 05-05-2013 04:08 PM

Wonder how long this will last?

soto13 05-05-2013 04:12 PM

i think it will only last until paypal does require info or state id, to use the feature.

Sandy D 05-05-2013 05:02 PM

I am reading elsewhere that you will be required to add your SSN or tax ID to even sign up for it.

Be careful before you do this until we have more knowledge.

Dmshark25 05-06-2013 01:44 AM

Yes I looked into it and first u need to activate this option thru ur Paypal account u must log in and add ur social security number. So this option is no good for stealth

I was the test dummy here and tried this on a test account and found that no reason to be excited when I found from another source that you needed SSN.

I went and tested it and can confirm I was correct yesterday, you need to add SSN and or other information.

So when I said above that paypal always has a catch, well here it is. Another way pp can suck you for your personal info.

Remember folks, pp does nothing for you unless there is a hitch to it.

Walked by 2 coinstar machines up here in Canada on the weekend - no pp option.

sax4 05-07-2013 09:56 AM

In the end there is plenty of ways to cash out, so stuff it.

LOL

I smelled a rat when people were jumping on this.

We know pp all too well there is always a hitch or a catch when they APPEAR to be doing something good for you.

megalon 05-08-2013 03:33 PM

I honestly was keeping hope alive for this option until I read the letters SSN.

Oh well.

jeffweico 07-19-2013 11:07 AM

I don't know if this works or not, in fact I just found out about it yesterday (I was out of it for awhile earlier this year) but it seems to me that the more options we have to withdraw funds, the better off we all are.

Of course we can argue the merits of Coinstar vs a real bank account, and maybe Coinstar is an expensive option, but for some people it COULD be a good option.

The main issue I see is that - from the posts I've read - sometimes PayPal asks for an SSN and sometimes not. If we could determine what causes them to ask for the SSN, we could maybe come up with a workaround.

Sandy D 07-19-2013 11:39 PM

For me it is a matter of trust.

For pp to team up with a company not many of us know much about and use them to withdraw is fishy to me.

With all the other means of getting your money out pp had to use coinstar of all places to do this?

This would be like TGI Fridays letting McDonalds sell their JD ribs or something. Does not match up.
