Moneypak for Loading/Funding PayPal
 

Weird thing happened on one of my buying paypal accounts. This is a solid paypal buyer account with everything verified and no limits or restrictions. All information has been provided for years with no issues. I went to fund the account via my bank account and it took me to a screen where it wants me to verify some information, such as name, dob, address, and tax info.

None of this would be an issue but there are no boxes to enter my tax information. I called up paypal and they were just going to manually do it, but then I said I refreshed it, and it is now working and we hung up. I was clearly lying as I knew they were going to manually search their database, and with this being stealth it may have raised flags.

It says I can pay for purchases directly through my bank account, but I would like to avoid echecks for each individual purchase and have the ability to load money via my bank account. So for instant funding I would need to use the Moneypak. Here is my delima with the Moneypak and lack of knowledge with it. Which of the following do I do:

1. Provide/Register Moneypak with real info, real ssn, and provide the code to paypal to fund the account? Or would this link me. Paypal already has a real EIN associated with it if that matters.

2. Provide/Register Moneypack with exact stealth info associated with the paypal account, along with EIN associated with paypal account. Or will this not pass the Moneypak security check as the EIN is legit but the name is not.

I believe the ssn or ein check is done by paypal and not by greendot.

Why would you add an EIN to an account strictly used for buying?

It used to be you could add moneypak directly to your paypal with no issues.

Not anymore.

It has changed, paypal and greendot are working together ( we all knew that anyway ) and before you can load a moneypak now they are both forcing you to add your ssn etc in. It is a double check by both companies to keep us from loading a mp without info.

Either way you cannot add mp to paypal now without adding the ssn to it.

Those days are gone now.

Nice sneaky way for them to continue to gain more info on the accounts thinking someone would stupid enough to add their ssn in.

They are wanting someone to make the mistake and add it so they can trace it.

Paypal and greendot work together and share info.

Be careful when dealing with the combo of them.

The only method I've ever used that worked 100% is the following:

Buy a Vanilla Visa with the amount needed for the purchase or higher amount.
Added it to the Stealth Account.
Changed the funding source to that Card.
Made my purchase.
