Does paypal save credit card information?
 

I was wondering if Paypal saved credit card information after it's been removed. I owe paypal money but I want to close my paypal account. I used chase credit card and bank account to verify my account. I was wondering if Paypal will try and 'chase' me to get their money using my credit card details.

The information on the account is stealth, the only legit info is on the CC to verify it.

Of course they save it after you removed it. Get 2 accounts and put the same card on each one after you remove it from the other and do some business on it and watch it get a limitation in time with it being linked. Paypal saves everything. Its a financial company and any financial company has to save everything even after you delete for records and there risk.

So using a VCC with stealth info would be safer? In terms of negative balance?

They save everything back to 1999.

And I am sure they got ebay to pass over info back to 1995.

If you put it on either website they have it saved and software to track if you used it etc.

Dont ever think to change anything like Credit card number, address, phone number or bank account then they will not know and try open new account and put the same info. It might get your new account limited real fast.
