zelpher | 04-04-2013 01:25 PM | Reusing bank accounts? Normally when I create new stealth accounts I get new bank accounts and I know how dangerous reusing a bank account is. I had three stealth accounts with very low balances, I reused a bank account from an old limited account and each time the payment went through. Any of you guys ever had luck with this? |
Pasicel | 04-04-2013 01:36 PM | That's asking for trouble, I wouldn't rely cycling money through that eBay.
We always think we're in the safe zone, but in reality we never are |
BigCJ | 04-04-2013 01:52 PM | Re-using bank accounts is like re-using toilet paper...No one likes it and no one does it. Eww.. |
zelpher | 04-04-2013 02:23 PM | Lol that was funny. It was nothing serious though none of the accounts had more than ten bucks on them and it worked. I would never do this with an account with hundreds of dollars but I think everybody on here has a few accounts with very small balances. Reuse a bank account. |
last3379 | 04-04-2013 05:25 PM | I have accidentally reused an old bank account before.. Paypal informed me that it had been used before and didn't allow me to add it. Not sure how you managed that? |
Sandy D | 04-04-2013 08:59 PM | This would not be smart.
All that work wasted away in a matter of time.
They will catch it, rare for them to let one slip by. |
Very interesting - how exactly did you reuse a bank account? 99% of the time pp wont allow it - still not good to reuse old info but you got it through on pp.com so thats special |
vogeltron | 04-05-2013 11:14 AM | I have done it before. Has eBay account suspended. PayPal was ok. Closed out the PayPal account waited about 3 or 4 months. Started a new everything Stealth again but reused the previous bank account. Don't know if I just go lucky. But it has worked for me two times in the past. |
Re: Reusing bank accounts? Interesting. I suppose it can't hurt to test on a new account.
I once reused a entropay card number by mistake, it told me I had used the card on another account, but didnt cause any probs for account. |
mpaca | 04-05-2013 12:44 PM | From experience i have used the same bank accounts (once fully removed from paypal/ paypal closed/ automatic fees canceled) and re added them to a new paypal without any limitations.
I dont think paypal can hold financial information like bank accounts once they have been removed from paypal.. Thats why when they limit you then dont let you remove it.
My thinking is if they could hold financial information once it had been removed, they wouldnt stop you removing it when you are limited (theyd try to catch out out re adding it to a new one)
Thats just my experience though.
thanks |
yamphy2012 | 04-05-2013 02:57 PM | No, please don't re-use. They may still store that information for a while. |
Marmaroth | 04-06-2013 09:25 AM | It will be a problem eventually. So I'd rather not do that. |

mpaca | 04-07-2013 01:46 PM | Yeah like i say ive been removing and re adding without any problems for over a year with the same bank account to about 3 different PP accounts none of which have been limited. :) |
Well it works that`s cool - still a link can exist...makes sense not to re-use but still nice that it does work |
Speeder33 | 04-07-2013 06:48 PM | i wouldnt re-use it on accounts that are still in good standing, but if my ebay got shut down I wouldnt mind reusing the bank account on pp if it let me, the idea that they cant keep the bank info for long would be helpful |

If eBay gets limited. Then two or 3 months later when all the transactions have been completed nothing outstanding. You close down the PayPal. Then recycle the bank account at a later date. It is a hassle creating new bank accounts. More than making new ones what I hate the most is having to go in and talk to somebody about closing the an old one. When I have multiple of everything. I understand 100% why somebody would like to avoid opening another bank account if they don't have to. |
Any stories of this working for someone initially but then getting blocked later on for a link to old account? That`s what I am wondering about - it does sound like a timesaver idea but still could be problematic in the future |
Sandy D | 04-08-2013 08:24 AM | I cannot believe some have done this with no issues.
But be pretty good luck because of the record system they have because of the the time if you sneeze they know it is yours. |

thanks | I've removed cards and readded them, every single time PayPal asked me to do the expuse code thing. No doubt I needed it every time because I had used the card before. This isn't a VCC though, talking about CC and gift card. |
AuctionsDenied | 04-11-2013 04:26 AM | Sounds interesting about recycling accounts. If anyone out there wants to start a test group and back to everyone with the results, that would be cool.
As for me, I put time time and effort into being stealth, therefore at this time I would not chance my "baby stealths" with a recycled account. I want them to grow to be "big stealths". |

I want them to grow to be "big stealths". | It was already stated multiple times in the thread. Myself included. Have recycled bank accounts when the eBay was limited then the PayPal was left ok. We closed out the PayPal completely once all the transactions cleared then reused the bank accounts down the road. | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 09:08 AM. | |
