Paypal Account Is Still Good But Ebay Got Suspended
 

Hello everybody. I have been a member on this forum for a long time and it has been very useful but I have a question.

I used to do a lot of volume on ebay and had several accounts going until I ran into some bad luck and two buyers got one account suspended and then ebay suspended the rest of my accounts. This was 7 years ago.

I called paypal to check my old balance and according to them I still money in the account and it is active. What do you all think would happen if I use this account, will it get suspended or not.

Depends on a lot of things, why did ebay get suspended, was it linked to this paypal?

If the pp is active, you can use it for other things. Using it for eB is very risky since you can be linked to old activity and the eB will be closed...pp could go harder on you and end your account too.

Yes, if you use it for a new ebay account, you will lose that account.

If it's been 7 years, you may be able to call ebay and get reinstated.

Preferable to never put it near ebay again.

Its link to suspended ebay accounts means it is tainted.

You can use it for transactions unrelated to ebay.

If you are making new stealth accounts, try to make sure everything is new.

Wait like 30 days for all the previous transaction to clear. If you try to withdrawal all the money PayPal might give you the 180 funds hold and limitation. You can't use that PayPal again if the eBay is not reinstated. But you may be able to close it out completely later on and reuse the bank account and what not at a later date. Some member dismiss that, but myself and some other included have been able to swing it no problems. That is unless you sell items outside of eBay the PayPal is still good you just can't ever use another eBay account with that PayPal account. Otherwise the new eBay will get shut down and you risk losing the PayPal as well.

I had a similar situation. It is OK to use for receiving non-eBay payments. I tried using it for receiving eBay payments and it worked for a week and I thought it was scott free, then the eBay account was suspended for linking to a suspended account. The PayPal still works fine for receiving payments from non-eBay sales though.
