Adding Card to a new paypal
 

I have lately got the 2.00 dollar charge when I add a card to paypal but no expuse codes is that normal is it new or am I doing something different? They dont even ask for the code

I think they are not using the expuse code anymore...at least from what I have seen with my accounts.

When they do the $2.00 is the CC verified in your paypal?

Yes it is pretty much new.

Yes, it has changed, but I have noticed it being random at times.

Actually this is nothing new, paypal have just added Some more power over all users cc's.

Quite possibly your account has gone over a risk barrier requiring the expuse code then - auto-confirmation.

Am i the only person who read paypals policys, updates and legal agreements?

Paypal works like this:

You add card but dont verify , they can autoverify
You add card and verify , they can testcharge you to check if your card is still active.

Paypal dont always testcharge you or autoverify you but they can at all times. And if this is a stealthaccount it can be the end cause if your cc isnt active anymore they limit the account and require proof of id.

ok so if you add the card and they just do the charge for 2.00 bucks what does that mean?

and you are saying they can still come back and do exp code on that same card later?

If they actually charge you 2$ then you better get your code&verification
Or they can get in deeeeep trouble (by international laws)

Yes paypal can do almost what they want, but they cant take money without a real meaning, they can charge for verification but not neg balance for example, everything about what they can and cannot is right on their main site (.com)

I have done with 100 of my own personal accounts and not once have they come back to do any kind of a charge.

And if they did I believe they would send you a message something is wrong please check with your cc processor or something.

As always pp is playing games but in my experience with this it works fine either way so far.

Message usually gets sent then.

Ive also had this happening when opening new a paypal... Must just be something new they are doing
