Paypal Compliance Dept. wants me to upgrade to business account
 

Paypal compliance department has sent me a few emails stating to upgrade to a business account from my premier. The current paypal account was opened under a business name and not my name. Now they want me to add my name and upload a copy of my ID.

This account is strictly for buying and not selling. It was opened after all my old ebay accounts got linked and suspended. My old paypal account under my real name I have been selling with for over a year... I just don't use it for buying. Should I just ignore the emails and not upgrade?

Should I upgrade the account and add my real name and ID? Would ebay see my name or just my business name? It seems you cannot open a paypal business account WITHOUT personal name attached to it anymore. Anyone have experience with this?

Personally I would create a stealth name for the business PP and send documents for that. I am not sure how it would work as you have SSN to deal with over the pond, but it is very likely that any info you give PP will be visable to EB. Ignoring their email I doubt would lead to anything good.

Not sure how I could do that if they want a copy of my drivers license....

Any help here? Why can people only get help with common sense issues but when there is something requiring some knowledge, nobody knows?
So far this forum has been no help... I can't be the only one with this issue.
