bjammin | 05-13-2013 02:08 PM | Withdrawal from paypal Hey peeps, I have a question(s) for anyone. I have attempted my first eBay Stealth Account last week. I am using a friends name, address, phone number, and debit card info.
I do not have a bank account attached to this account yet. I assume that this account is limited until I attach a bank account? If I transfer funds from one PP acct to another PP acct, does this link the accts? I am considering opening a Chase bank acct for this stealth account.
According to forum, I can open a bank account in my name and have a diff name for the PP acct. Is this correct? Lastly, what prompts PP to ask me for a SSN? This is all US acct.
Sorry for any question that seems dumb, but it's one thing to read something, and another to believe it actually works. And no disbelief intended. It's just hard to imagine the enemy is so dumb.
Thanks in advance! |

sending money from 1 pp to another will get both linked and banned
you have to open a bank acct in your name, but ebay name can me under any name, most banks allow mismatched names
PP prompts for ssn if you are getting close to selling 20,000 dollars, or if they project you will sell that much in a year |
bjammin | 05-13-2013 04:07 PM | Awesome! Thank you for the quick reply. :hail: I just saw where Chase Bank will work with PayPal for mismatch information on another's post.
Another question though regarding the stealth account I opened last week. I was asked for a CC (I had used the same person's whom I used for name, address, and phone# info). But I was never asked for checking account information. Why would I not have been asked for checking account routing number and account number? |
Speeder33 | 05-14-2013 05:04 PM | you are not asked for bank account numbers right away, only cc
and i have never used chase bank but I have heard they work, along with BoA, wells fargo etc |
GreenBean | 05-14-2013 05:33 PM | Paypal ask for the SSN for ID and sometimes in association with the selling limits.
There are serious repercussions regarding using the SSN.
Not wise to have used a friend's info EVER
:nono: |
bjammin | 05-15-2013 10:58 AM | What is the best way to do this then?
Does eBay/PayPal verify info for new accounts? |

Stealth is not using someone elses life history, name, phone and their debit card.
That is abusing their information. What happens when and if you lose this account and have a huge fee to pay and dont pay it? What happens when and if you dont ship and item and someone comes knocking at your friends door?
What happens if things go south and you ruin your friends credit report?
Lots of what ifs but for me using some friends or family info is not true stealth.
Especially when you dont need to use any of that if you would take the time to read and learn about stealth and how the methods work.
You are about to lose a friend, has happened to many when they need to use ebay and you possibly ruined their name by screwing up someone.
Ebay bans people for no reason so even if you do it all right and the account goes down you just ruined your friends chances of having their own ebay account. And possibly their credit. |

Just for clarification, unless you see a MESSAGE saying: Your Paypal is LIMITED or something like that when you log in, then your pp is not limited.
If you have not attached your bank account, your account is simply unverified - you can still operate but it's not so secure.
As for using friend account or info...DON'T. Could cause big problems down the road - especially when money is involved. Listen to Sandy |
Speeder33 | 05-17-2013 01:57 PM | thanks rsot
also never use a friends info, there is no need to when you can create stealth accounts, and using friends info usually causes problems |
bjammin | 05-17-2013 03:43 PM | Guys, I don't know if I am reading the Guide wrong or not. I have read it, and it says "OPTION ONE: Using a family or friend's name...then it talks about using their info so it can be verified if needed" Am I not reading a current version of the guide: Ebay Stealth 3.1.1? I have only created 1 Stealth acct as mentioned above with friends name, address, phone number, and debit card info with a diff checking account. As you can see in post above, I am not doing this correctly because I am jeopardizing my friend. I have read the guide, but I guess I am not catching something here.
Before I create my second stealth account, I want to make sure that I am doing this right.
My plan:
I am wanting to use a friend's address, but with a different name on the EB acct.
The debit card will be a vanilla mastercard.
The checking acct will be in my name (bank doesnt verify name on acct with PP). |
GreenBean | 05-17-2013 08:10 PM | If you read further on the forum, it is posted that this option is not as viable as it appears.
The critical factor is the fact of compliance with IRS tax laws. It is irresponsible of anyone to use another person's name to earn money.
We moved away from this idea. |
