SSN and the name on bank account
 

On my account with one VeRo I used a debit card and a bank account with her name, but used my SSN.

I was thinking of using her SSN for my new stealth account, but I am worried that PayPal will see the name and match it up.

I will be probably buying my eBay and PayPal stealth accounts but I am making a new bank account to withdraw from them.

So is it alright if I use her SSN? I will be putting a different name on the bank account information on PayPal.

Never advised to use anther person SSN or bank account or cards. Can land you or them in trouble. Use an EIN, VBA and VCC, then attach your own bank account to withdraw.

Never use a single piece of someone elses personal information for any reason.

You could cause your friend many years of issues doing this.

Learn how to do this without abusing your friends info.

All it takes is some time here reading.

I'm not going to use this stealth account for any illegal things. The only reason I want to get these new accounts is because I was hit by VeRo on my main one, and my "Best Match" is getting ruined.

This is going to be my mother's SSN and she is alright with it.

PLEASE take everyone's advice and DO NOT use anyone else's information - with stealth, you don't have to!

To be clear, any bank accounts you open must have your real information attached to them. What name you give eBay/PayPal is a different matter. Lying to eBay is naughty, but lying to your bank is illegal - BIG DIFFERENCE!

The reason you don't want to use another person's information, is that even with the best of intentions, a deal on eBay can go south. If there is a lot of money involved (what is considered a lot only you can answer) and you can't take the loss, the person whose information you used may end up with bad credit - or worse. Just do a search, there are tons of stories here where people used their mom's/sister's/father's, brother's friend's information and lived to regret it. Sometimes, this can even KILL a relationship. It is not worth the heartache.

Well said everyone, also think of this situation:

You use your friends SSN# and some how burn the account...then one day your friends to want to open an account, what's your friend going to do?

Also, you may ruin a friendship in the process!

That is even worse. Esp selling vero items.

Horror stories about doing this.

Real quick.

One member used his Fathers SSN, account got nailed selling vero and accounts banned.

Dad loses his retirement in the stock market and decides to sell his collection of items to re build his retirement nest egg. Goes to ebay to sign up and cannot because the son destroyed it and his good name and even left Daddy a nice ebay bill that showed up on his credit report.

She might need to do this or need it someday so why put her good name at risk for your gain, esp selling vero stuff?

Put the time and work into like the rest of us have and build yourself multiple accounts with stealth methods.

I would starve before using any of my families or friends info like this.

Easy way out is not always the best solution.

I'm just going to be lying to eBay and PayPal, I opened up a new Bank Of America account with my name and my SSN and all my real information.

I was just saying I want to use my mother's SSN for PayPal in case I get a call from PayPal asking me to verify anything after limiting me.

No I'm not going to be selling VeRo on this new account. I will never sell VeRo again.

The only reason I am opening up a new account anyway is because the policy violation on my VeRo'd account is bringing me down in the listings and I am not selling as much as I should be.

Everything is going to be legal on this new account. Just generic items with no brand name or anything.


EDIT: Nevermind, I see what you guys are saying. You guys are talking about what if the accounts become linked accidentally and my mother suffers for it?

Have a look around the forum, there are ways to get around using SSN in the US. They are much better options for you.

You should NOT use her SSN.
What consideration have you given to TAXES?????

Her info means she could be held responsible for them.
