Buyer files claim? being scammed?

Buyer purchased an item and it has been only 4 days since purchase. Then files a claim saying not received.wtf? Then escalates the claim. How is this possible?
They never emailed me at all so I smell a scam brewing. 200.00 Item.Item is in transit. Buyer is rude also so I think I will lose out on this..Item has delivery tracking also on it..

Did you ship the item with Signature required?

Personally I would stop the item from being delivered, have it shipped back to you and call it a day.

If they are willing to file a Not received item, by the time they get it...they might file a "Not as Described" claim or similar.

Items this high in price need signature confirmation.

Send them a message, here is your tracking number, I am following it on the USPS website and watching it.

If you would like to also see when I shipped it and watch it being scanned and tracked you can go to the USPS website and see all the information showing it was shipped and expected delivery date.

Thank you.
I will send you another email once I see it shows it was scanned and delivered by the post office.

This hopefully will stop them in their tracks of trying to scam you.
It will let them know you are watching it like a hawk.

Why is it a scam?

danshan 05-20-2013 05:09 PM

Any scammer knows if tracking is good they will lose not received case if it is over 250 it does require sig to win the dispute but you said 200 so with or without you are fine.

Only scam i could see is not as described once they get it and return something other than what you shipped.

All you people immediately start screaming scam anytime something happens.

sometimes it is just retarded customers or even the worse they call paypal and talk to one of their idiot reps who just say file a dispute

That's a different pov.

Poor behavior at the early stage of item delivery needs careful watching.

Not so sure that is calling this a scam?

It is being proactive to deal with a buyer AND keep control of the sale.

The OP said, 4 days since purchase. Maybe the buyer didnt see the handling time involved. He/she might be a person who is used to purchasing items with sellers who ship everyday with Priority mail and gets it within 2 days.

I dont think its a scam, its just another person who wants it yesterday.

This is one of the few times where it is best to get PP`s help from the get go - I might be tempted to call or e-mail them for live help since you seem worried.

If you have delivery tracking, have you already added the tracking to the dispute?

If you had a rude buyer before the item was sent, let paypal deal with the angst.

Be the caring seller.

Supply whatever is needed.

We know the item is in transit.

IF the buyer has appeared 'rude', then the OP should go to paypal & let them deal with the issue.

You yourself made the comment to do just that.

So the point is/was??????

Can someone post the link or direction on redirecting the item back to you? Will be helpful for the newbies. Thanks

For usps you need to actually go to local po and pay a fee to have an item returned
