PayPal technical problems. Anybody else?
 

I have been using paypal for my online business for the last 10 years and never had such problem: several of my visitors wrote to me that they are trying to make a payment, but getting the following message:

The PayPal site is having technical problems with the credit card processor. We are working to resolve this issue as soon as possible. If you want to send money, enter the payment with PayPal balance, credit or PayPal account. If you want to use credit card, return to PayPal website later to complete the transaction. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

I tried myself make a payment and got the same problem. I contacted paypal and they send me to open a support ticket and I am still waiting any answer since 18th of May

Does anybody know what is the problem?

I've heard of a few people encountering this recently, they were instructed to do the same. If all of your recent visitors have been experiencing it, it's clearly something on their end. Since you called and they instructed you to open a support ticket, looks like you'll have to take that route for the moment. Best of luck.

Certainly have been reports of this happening.

paypal has simply been full of glitches.

on 3 US PP accounts have problems 22-25th of MAY in order to receive payments from EB
EB and PP are nor limited even tried to make small payment to mothly payments and it worked fine....
Buyers reported my account is restricted to take payments ...

Hope this is temporary..

Been an ongoing glitch for months....

Should I prepare those accounts for long Holiday or its likely to be back on track in few days ?
This kind of glitch first time for me it did happened on 3 accounts in a week time, so kind of new experience...
Not a pleasant I must say...

Not of the thought they are due for a long holiday.

Rather the inconvenience of not being able to 'use' paypal & thus own money.
