My own experience: They will accept a couple of mismatched names only the first name. The last name has to be the same. After a couple of mismatched deposits by paypal your card will be blocked and you will call to find out why and you will get a rep from outside the us saying fraud detection compliance center closed it and even if you talk to a manager they can't do anything. You will never be able to signup for a greendot card with your id or under anything that links to you.
Greendot is the worst bank, prepaid card, and any other services they offer for using them for stealth or long time depositing, withdrawing, and anything else they dont like it. How do I know? I got all my walmart moneycard and greendot cards closed. They used to let 1 person have 13 cards with each bank either walmart or greendot.
What is greendot good for?
* normal depositing - dont desposit thousands of dollars from any source or hundreds in less then 1 month
* normal withdrawing - dont take off from atm too much, dont deposit too much moneypak, dont get thousands of dollars in direct deposit, dont spend too much in a period of 24 hours or 1 week
* normal spending - dont spend outside your state (local) or far away areas in person
* for customers who are donkeys and love being greendot and walmartmoneycard slaves.
Wonderful greendot and walmart money card they have, but terrible compliance department procedures and people who dont give a crap. I doubt these people will last more then 50 years. I got the run around about my accounts being closed from i deposited from third partys, i spend too much, i didnt use the card for a while and starting using it too much, and a whole bunch of crap.
These people consider that if you deposit too many funds and withdraw too much even spaced out times that your cleaning your money. (Just lookup online for greendot and walmart money card complaints).
