Paypal payment under review

I got an e-mail from Paypal stating they are investigating a payment from a buyer and to respond within 7 days. It was nothing Vero, but I already shipped it, not checking e-mail first. What should I do now? Thanks

How long ago did you ship it & which postal service did you use? For example, USPS has something called 'package intercept' where you fill out a form and you can have the package sent back to you.

As far as the PP email, that sounds like the buyer filed a PP claim against you. Are there details why?

I shipped it on the 20th. Im not sure if I should intercept. It may be a legit purchase. The case was not initiated by the buyer. The e-mail states I might have received a payment not authorized by the Paypal account holder, and I have 7 days to respond. I also uploaded proof of shipment. Should I intercept the package?

I would, if it has not been delivered yet, especially if the item is expensive.

I have had this happen to me before. The amount can be $5 or $500, it makes no difference. PayPal has some indication that the buyer's account may have been compromised and are doing what they said - investigating what happened.

Criminals buy and sell PayPal accounts online just like they do credit cards. There was a HUGE article about it in the NY Times. That is why I only ship to the confirmed address supplied by PayPal. I used to let it go if a buyer emailed me about the item being a gift and please send to an alternate address, but no more. I tell the buyer - in a nice way - that they need to add the address to their PayPal account as that is PayPal's rule. Most don't object.

It hasn't been delivered yet, and the address is confirmed. So Im not sure what to do. I'm also worried that my Paypal account will get locked up. Should I be?
