how risky?

I had my bank put the stop to non matching names transfers. im getting new accounts set up, in the meantime, i have funds in paypal accounts.

how risky is to have my paypal accounts send funds to my paypal account that has a good bank account. It would likely be done 1 or twice max?

I have 10 different banks I use with no problem with mis-matched names, why not get some new bank accounts rather than jump through hoops? You could have 2 BA's open in 10 minutes with instant account #'s to start withdrawing.

This will link the accounts, and you run the risk of getting them both shut down. Doing it once there is of course less of a chance of this happening, but a chance none the less.

It's not a recommended practice , and under review will cause a possible link

danshan 08-04-2013 05:31 PM

I would say once is not a real problem but not a long term cure. I mean people say no no no but I use one stealth account and send money to my supplies guy all the time and have from two or three accounts and never had an issue. I mean when you think of stealth think of what real people would do and they send recurring payments to the same people over and over. Good luck

bigboddie 08-05-2013 02:51 AM

I've done it for years without hassle.

vogeltron 08-05-2013 03:23 AM

I personally won't risk my accounts doing something like this. But I have a buddy who runs lots of stealth accounts. He does this everyone once in a while.

I think he does it smart though instead of just sending a random payment. He always puts a note in with the payment. Thanks for renting us the house for the weekend. Just nonsense made up stuff to make appear more legit. Hasn't had any problems thus far.

But I do agree it is risky. If you are going to go that route try to make it seem as legit as possible by doing something similar to what I described above.

You may have gotten away with it for years, but this is very bad stealth practise and should NOT be done

Why do you think it is a complete no no?

Sending funds from PP account A to PP account B will link the accounts.

Basic 101 of stealth, stay link free

This method flies in the face of that.

rsot 08-06-2013 03:09 PM

Regardless of people having success with this or not, the general consensus is that it will link PP accounts and CAN lead to downfall via linking. Not worth the risk.

You COULD get away with it 1 or 2..."COULD" is your decision to act on or not. I wouldn't

bigboddie 08-10-2013 12:37 AM

Send invoices to those accounts that you want to send money to your bank linked paypal don't do the friends and family/gift thing. Also up grade your main account to merchant account then if ebay links you they compel payapl to suspend your main account. That's how I've gotten away with it for years.

gulaga 08-11-2013 07:57 AM

i also do this for years, if done in the correct way, could work.
business really happens this way, buyer pays to supplier via pp for years, its not a rule that if any of both accounts has problem will affect the other. thats how real business gets done so if paypal always links the accounts only by sending money one to another and then close both for the problems of one... well that will be stupid.

gift payments are risky though

Some have done this without any repercussions, but I for one will not do it. No need to bring even the slight chance of scrutiny to my accounts.

Why don't you just add a bnk account to your PP acct that takes mis-matched names. This would be the simplest solution
