BoA questions regarding new accounts I have a question about banking with BoA. When people say they have many accounts, do you mean like normal saving accounts. Because im going up there is a few days, and want to make sure what to tell them, and say. Thanks! |

Just open a Basic Checking account, you will be fine,, |
| GreenBean | 08-08-2013 02:01 AM | Bank of America is great for stealth.
Select a basic checking account.
You will be good to go.

| vogeltron | 08-08-2013 02:13 AM | BOA is pretty chill from my experience. I run both checking and savings accounts with them for stealth. Like most banks in the U.S. usually the minimum balance to avoid fees is lower on Savings accounts than Checking. |
Ok sounds good. I have like a checkings account, and a savings account with them, that is already set up for past accounts.. Would it be a good idea to close those accounts, and re-open them, or do you think BoA would take that as something "fishy" .. (Re-opening them for new account numbers)
Thanks!!! |
| GreenBean | 08-08-2013 02:38 AM | I prefer to not open and close bank accounts.
Such actions would be seen as strange.
:spy: |
Ok, so would it just be like a slow process... like close the accounts, and wait like 3 months, and then open them again... or something like that? .. haha sorry for all the questions, just wondering... and if thats the case, what do you do about like all your Limited Accounts with money in them ( my learning process ) .. I know that you add a bank account. But you just open a whole bunch of them, and take the money out? Seems like i would be looked as strange as well.. haha |
| Dmshark25 | 08-08-2013 04:55 AM | You don't want to just open 20 accounts in one day with one bank, number one it could look suspicious , that is unless you sit down with a bank rep and explain you have several online business that your starting and need accounts for all. But again they have the right to close accounts and this has happened to other members so if all ur accounts are with BOA than if they close ur accounts for any reason your going to have to scramble around for other banks.
The key is to open accounts over time with different banks BOA is great but mix it up and use prepaid debit cards also. Between real banks and prepaid there's plenty of banks.
Maybe start with an echecking and regular savings account with BOA, which u can open easily online and get approval from minutes to hours, really quick , and if u already have banking with them you can access online banking already and ur accounts without eating for a debit card.
Good thing with the echecking account with BOA there is no fee as long as you do all your banking from an ATM , which works out great with using it for stealth accounts. As long as you do everything with the ATM and never use a teller no monthly fee. And when u open online you don't need to add funds right away if u don't want to, so very easy.
When makin stealth accounts I switch up from my real name variation to totally stealth name , this gives me more freedom when opening bank accounts.
Just take things slow, I have 7 accounts with BOA over about 8 months time, they are a great bank for stealth faster than any with deposits and the only one I come across that makes transfers on Saturday meaning if u withdrawl Thursday morning ur funds will be in ur account by Saturday at 330am, which was helpful to me in the beginning when cash flow was in need with all Paypal holds. |
You can close accounts every 4-6 months but try to vary the activity - also look at different banks...Chase for example is another good bank to work with.
Dont do a lot of opening and closing since it can be looked at unfavourably |
When setting up the account with your real bank do you do the confirm deposit or the other one! Thanks for all the again guys! |

Think alexmarc means to do the verification with bank account via 2 deposit method and NOT the instant username/password method that sometimes comes on PP depending on the bank, makingmoney. |

what is a trial deposit? | Just select a bank that will allow mismatch names.
Dont be confused by trial deposit

They have few issues with name mismatches.
The two deposits works as well as doing an instant verification,
Dont forget paypal has sometimes taken back those two deposits.
Keep things simple especially on a new paypal account.

After that ,you can open as many accounts as you want online, just two at a time. Open a checking and savings account together for each application. Checking OR savings works the same. In fact, paypal has no idea whether or not it's really a checking or savings.
You have to be careful with savings accounts though, you can only have 4 withdrawals per month per savings account or you'll get a nasty letter from the bank. |

I have dealt with numerous banks and they LOVE to charge the withdrawal fee of $5.00 or $2.00 or so whenever you dip into your savings account. |
ya you have to keep $300 I think that is the min... Here is the weird thing with my bank account. I used my savings account, and made sure I did everything right, and I cant find the 2 deposits anywhere, like they havent gone through and its been over 3 business days... weird |

| I know BoA is a good alternative when it comes to mismatched names. However I didn't know you could still do the instant verification from Paypal to BoA even if the names are different. If that's the case then this bank is really special.
I would still feel skeptical if I was making an instant verification from Paypal through BoA or any bank if the names were different. |

Meanwhile you might want to check the pending transactions on your bank account to see if they are not there. Also, sometimes Paypal do take the deposits back but it shouldn't be a prob. |
no. Ive done many accounts, and this isnt the case. No mistakes were made. Its just weird that there not showing up. Thank you for the information though! Great Posting guys! |

Thanks!!! | You already have existing accounts, so you can just open accounts online.
Do not go crazy, a lot of people have numerous chk/sav accts for various reasons.
No need to close accts. |
Ya I already verified these accounts with a Vba and VCC , I always do that, and then add another bank account (my bank) to the pp.
The reason why I asked about the online banking is because I have 6-7 limited accounts with money in them, and I need to access them. ( the limited accounts are from when I didn't have stealth guide and doing it myself) |

I'm not sure. I know with BOA there is a monthly fee if the savings account has less than 300 dollars. (I think it's 5 dollars or something) They don't charge to make withdrawals. |
| nodiggy | 08-15-2013 08:12 AM | Hi guys. Quick question regarding BoA.
I opened a new checking account. I setup paypal to verify using the 2 small deposits. The 2 deposits came through as 12 cents and 7 cents. At the same time, there was a -19 cent charge as "verification". I am not sure if this was a bank of america verification or paypal initiated. Regardless, it took like 2 days to clear. Today, my BoA account shows cleared on all 3 transactions, but the balance is 0. Also, in the description field for all 3 charges/credits, it shows my stealth paypal account name. Is this normal? Am I safe to withdraw money from paypal?
In addition.. the stealth paypal account is 100% verified using those 2 small deposits and there is no sign of the 19 cent charge anywhere on paypal. I am thinking that this was a BoA 19 cent hold as a first deposit. I just want to know if this is right and if anyone else experienced this with BoA. If so, then we are good?
Any help is appreciated! |

| nodiggy | 08-15-2013 08:36 AM | when they take their small deposits back, don't they see the name on my real BoA checking account? |
| Hercules | 08-15-2013 08:38 AM | yes, they don't care I guess |

Great Posting guys! | Hmm if having issues with savings accounts...stick to checking. Sometimes, some banks have to enable savings accounts for direct deposit feature (a la payroll deposit) |

I went to my local chase branch yesterday trying to open two additional savings accounts but they were so tight for no reason. They gave me this blah blah about having to many saving accounts. I don't believe having four savings is a lot. After they denied me I went to the original chase where I opened the accounts and they gladly opened two more savings for me. I still prefer credit unions because they see no evil and speak no evil ;) |

| Brainbuster | 08-17-2013 02:17 PM | I don't think mismatched names between PP and a bank is a common problem (currently), but I doubt that using your own name on PP/Ebay will link your stealth accounts to your suspended account.
How could PP possibly stop and look closely at every "John Smith," or "Michael Miller,"
or "Jim Johnson," or "Joe Williams?"
They'd waste most of their time chasing waterfalls.
If they checked every matching First/Last name on Ebay,
less than 1% of users would be Stealth Ninja Ebay Users.
On the other hand, if they are already looking closely and suspiciously at your stealth account, and have several other links, then I guess they would deem your stealth account suspect.
I just typed my own name into facebook,
and I can see dozens and dozens of my name. I can even see several with my First, Middle, and Last name (not that the middle name would be an issue).
Just now found an interesting website, How Many of Me.
There are over 45,000 people in the US alone named John Smith.
Type in your own name to discover that you are not a unique snowflake
(for the record, it is a myth that each snowflake is unique).
If you discover that there are only a few hundred people in your country with your name, then if you're concerned about mismatched names between your bank accounts and your PP account, you can legally change your name to John Smith for a hundred bucks.
Then you won't have to worry about using nicknames, or mismatched names with transfers between PP and your bank. |
^^ I get what your saying but they have bots that actually pay attention to your account, and file them. It's best to stay safe and follow the Stealth Guide when it comes to selling on eBay!
However if you would like to change your name to John Smith, you go right ahead and do that! :) let us know how it works out lolol , I'm sure people would want to know lol
Please also let's stay more on topic! :) Thanks for the posting everyone! | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 10:55 AM. | |
