21 Day Hold Question

I have a PayPal account that is fully verified without a SSN attached to it. I do not sell on eBay but rather my own website, will PayPal hold my money for 21 days? The account is 1 week old. Thanks in advanced

Most likely yes, you will have 21 day holds until Paypal feels that you are trustworthy for them to remove those holds. Personally, I have had most of my Paypals stop the 21 day hold right around 3 months starting from the date of my 1st sale.

Be sure to add tracking numbers on all your transactions.

Thanks for the quick reply, just to be certain you are selling on your own website correct?

No, On ebay but holds apply to both ebay and personal website.

Holds may be applied to on ebay transactions and to off ebay transactions.

paypal covers itself it that regard.

I would also recommend you have another means of getting funds especially for your own website. We do that as a protection for ourselves.

Good Luck

I have US accounts and when I had holds still on my accounts , once in a while I'd do a transaction off ebay, usually by sending an invoice and I never received holds, for my accounts the holds only applied to ebay sales

Yea, they holds can be applied. If you are a new PayPal user you probably should not have added your SSN until the account was established as a precaution.

You have your own website - really should look for other payment providers too - don't rely 100% on PP....I like to avoid PP when I am not obliged to use them.

Thanks everyone for the feedback! Think i'm going with another Payment Provider.
