ebay account suspened, can i use my company name to open a new Paypal account?
 

My ebay account suspened a week ago, i know my personal Paypal account could not use anymore. I have a S-corp (with EIN) and want to open a business PAYPAL account. My company has different address, different bank account, different computer and different IP addresss. Only the same thing is my name. Will Paypal check the owner's name when I open a business Paypal account? Thanks for reply.

Paypal will check EVERYTHING - assume that and go from there. Use stealth name or name variation.

This is an old topic but I bump into it and feel compel to answer it. This question has been asked many times and the answer above is typical. I must say, based on my own experience, THE ANSWER IS WRONG.

The correct is YES, you can open a new Paypal account if you have a different corporation, different EIN, different address, and different bank account, under the SAME PERSON.

I figured it out by myself when my legitimate eBay account was banned. I registered a new corporation name, new EIN, new address, new bank account under my name and Paypal accepted it. My account is now 5 months old and running strong.

On the other hand, the eBay account has to use different person name. Since eBay has nothing to do with your tax ID, you can use ANY name, and it doesn't have to match with the name on your Paypal account.

eBay and Paypal are now two separate companies so when you are banned by eBay, it does not mean you are banned by Paypal. In fact, I am testing to see if I can use an old Paypal account that was linked (now unlinked) to a banned eBay account, to link it to a brand new eBay account. I will post my observation on this forum when I have the result.
