Debit card or prepaid?
 

I am going to be opening up a new stealth account for PayPal and eBay under my cousins names. I want to know if opening up a brand new checking account and having a liked debit card is ok? Or just use checking account and a prepaid card? The stealth guide got me a little confused.

I think it doesn't matter, all you need is a mismatched name transfers allowed bank.

I would not use your cousins name to open an account. This will make him liable for tax.

You will need to use VCC for PP, it cannot be a real plastic card as it will fail the AVS check.

You will also need to make sure that the bank your opening an account with allows mismatching name deposits.

I was going to open it under my husbands name DBA account.
And going with Bank of America.

Why would you not open it under your OWN name but operate it with stealth name? Just keeping things nice and separate from family antics

Doesn't Bank of America let you do mismatched names for deposits?

Bank America will work fine for mismatch name deposits...What won't work is using the debit card linked to the bank account.

The debit card's address on that card will not be accepted by Paypal since the address will be completely different from that one on your stealth.

2 Options for CC
1. Buy a VCC on the forum
2. Buy a Vanilla OR other Gift Card

You need to make sure you have an address you can access to get your items.
Basic stealth common sense.

I still dont understand what a VCC is. And I would like to pay for items on ebay but don't have a card linked to it so therefore I would only be able to do e-check. What do you do for purchasing items on ebay?
and I opened up a mailbox at my local postal store it looks like a regular address it is not a PO Box.

You use a VCC to pay for things via PP.

VCC is a virtual credit card - Works just like a regular credit card, but it will not fail the AVS checks.

so when you say virtual you don't have a physical card in your hand?
and how does it link up to your bank account?

Correct - Its a virtual card, although you can also use gift cards which are physical cards, but do not have your name on them.

It doesnt link up to your bank account.

A VCC is separate from your bank account. You can fund the VCC using a real card attached to your stealth bank account.
