Is it safe to open a dispute

I bought something with an ebay and pp account that have ⊗⊗⊗⊗ info. I emailed the seller and they changed the shipping address of what I bought. I week goes by I get a tracking number that say the package was left at the door I have nothing. Is it safe to open a dispute, will they be able to see that if the seller says I wanted it shipped to an address that would get me linked. The address I gave is obviously linked since it is my physical address.

it depends on the seller. If its a $200.00 or more item i would think the seller would bring it up. Talk to the seller first and then your postman to see what is going on. Make the dispute your last resolve and hope it doesn't go down like that. If the item is less then $50 though i would say eat it and move on unless you have backups

Yeh, it was left there by fedex.Shouldn't I have had to sign for it? It was $300, so I am not going to let it go. I payed with a my CC so if it comes down to it I can try to do a chargeback.

Before you do a chargeback, you should try and find the package.

Put yourself in the seller's shoes. Your buyer buys something, you send it FedEx to them and they do a chargeback because they say they never got it. Pretty bad.

Why don't you contact FedEx and ask them to what address they delivered it and who signed for it?

They say that it was left at the side door. Not really sure what that would mean at my house. It was never signed by anyone.

Might as well file for a chargeback. Sellers are all screwed no matter what!

HI: I'd contact fedex, have them do a driver followup, and call you back--the pkg is most likely at a neighbors..
The mere fact that it was delivered, and using a premium shipping service, tells me more than likely the seller is legit..

I would talk to FedEx. They're supposed to get a signature on the package. That's why you pay so much.
