Hello all this is my first post on here. I joined with ebay yet again, and set up a new paypal account...sold my first item, and they paid through paypal...but paypal hae put the payment on hold, because i hae less than 20 feedbak,....is this a new thing they are doing, they also said they will release payment when they buyer leaes poss feedback...any ideas...also can u buy feedback....tia....fran.

I believe this started in May when they did the holding funds. Some transactions get it, others dont. Luck of the draw I guess. I mean, you can buy items and get feedback from those.

normal now on new accounts. tis common and a big pain. its a buyers market and sellers can just suffer it according to paypal. the big picture is the share price on ebay. they want it to recover and become viable

From my experience, they put holds on certain items, Items they view as high risk, like high end electronics, things like that. I am not sure what the exact items are.

Paypal holds your life in their hands. BE CAREFUL! If possible always withdraw funds directly to a bank account as soon as possible. If Paypal limits the account or comes after you for personal info close the bank account and abandon that Paypunk account immediately!

hi all....do paypal check ur ip, like ebay do when you log into ur account....the reason i am asking is because i want to set up another paypal account...tia....

I have had no problems over the last month with one account with over 25 transactions domestic and international and all of a sudden my last two sales have been held for delivery confirmation which is no problem because I ship immediately and have the money released in three days, but one payment was for $170 and one for $4200. So, I'm a bit concerned whenever they hold that kind of money but have faith that it will be released as soon as the package is delivered.

Yes PP checks your ip just like ebay.
