how much money can a new - born paypal account receive?
 

I am thinking to create a new strealth paypal account only to receive some money outside of eBay.

I am wondering how much money does my new paypal account receive at the beginning without getting limited or any problem.

Zero dollars. The thing is, PayPal CAN limit an account at any time if they are suspicious of ANYTHING. When receiving money outside of eBay, they will most likely ask for ID.

If this were my account, I would make sure it is VCC and bank account verified. Then, I would keep the amount received to no more than $250 per month for the first 3 months or so, then slowly increase it.

The $250 is just my OPINION, there is no guarantee they will not ask for ID.

As much or as little as PayPal decides

On or off ebay hardly matters

If PayPal determines risk then there is

I don't know if Canada applies, but just keep in mind that ALL sales and Goods recieved totalling $19,999 and 200 items (gross...in 1 fiscal year), keeps you from completing the tax forms from the end of the year. ANY $ above and you will pay taxes! But Canada may be different.

As a follow-up to waterproof's post, pp up in Canada is actually similar on the ALL sales and goods parts - they will hit you up for info to submit to Revenue Canada.

OP, a better move rather than asking such a general question is asking SPECIFICALLY how much you are looking to receive? is it for a risky item? digital vs physical?
