When is it ok to withdraw funds from PayPal account?
 

Hello I have sold about 8 things now and I have around $200 I'm hold because PayPal needs to verify it was shipped etc.
and I also have around $70 in my account.
My question is will it look suspicious if I withdrew what I had available in my you pal account? I know $70 is not a lot but I need this money for bills.
What's the best advice you can give about withdrawing money? I remember reading in the handbook that you should keep a. Certain amount of money in your PayPal account etc. money is tight for me at the moment so want to make sure I don't mess anything up etc.

I would leave as much as you can in the account. You would be able to take $30 out without issue

How old is the PP account itself?

Less than a month. I just need the most I can take out. Panicking for money lost my job a few months back and Ebay has been my source of income so losing my account last month has really hurt me financially. :(

I always keep enough to cover fees + any potential chargebacks. For newer accounts, I also wait a couple of months to ensure the account will last.

Nothing is worse then attaching your bank account and then getting a suspension on your eBay account.

So pretty much wiping your PayPal account after you receive money is not a good idea?

Its a bad idea. You want to keep an active balance on your PP account.

What happens if you get hit with claims? PP can be on the hook for you if you decide to run for the hills.

Remember, in PP's eyes, you are a new user. They will look at your behavior and see if you are a risk to them or not.

So when should I be safe to take funds out? I don't want to drain the account I just need to have some of that money to pay bills.
And when will they lift the limits for shipping a items and waiting on funds.

You should never DRAIN the account. I always like to keep 3-4x the average sale in the account as "fuel in the engine" - keep PP happy by not looking liek a fly-by-night withdrawal "kind of guy".

1st time withdrawal? All is shipped and feedback is good? maybe...$50 or less is a feasible move in my opinion
