Bluebird issues (Amex really)

So I get an email today from AMEX about their Blueturd card. Seems a borderline card has just gone south. Glad I never used mine. Just gotta unload the $15 starter fee.... Here is the news:

We would like to inform you about a change to your Bluebird Account effective November 12, 2013.

For added security, you will no longer be able to link 4 debit cards to your Account and instead will only be able to link 1 debit card. As a reminder, the debit card must be in your name to successfully link to your Bluebird Account.

And don't forget, you can add money to your Account with a debit card at Walmart for free.

Should you have any questions about this change, you can contact a Bluebird Customer Care Professional at 1-877-486-5990.

Thank you for your Membership,
The Bluebird Team

Why wouldnt you just use a regular bank account? Never understood using the debit load cards

I do use bank account but bluebird was enticing since it give you like four accts in one. Unfortunately, they must have the same people on board of directors as eBay since they like to change the rules of the game on a whim.

I got the same message so it makes me think too many people abused it.

Likely running so many stealth accounts opening more bank accounts would not be a good idea. This type of cards seem to be an option for serious stealth users.

Or for people who have problems with banks/credit history

It's called abuse...we already talked about this in the very first Blue.bird post months ago. The same goes for any new service. They offered a new technique, it gets raped by idiots, then they tighten up.

Get in the beginning, enjoy it to the fullest, and then be ready to move on if necessary. The day comes sooner or later, wise up.

Not really bro, I've tested well over 30 of these Prepaid Cards and about 98% don't work with Stealth.

Banks by far are a better option.

Agree.

Posted this above as it seems to happen all of the time.

Greed sets in and people abuse it and ruin it for others.

Never going to stop that.

Either do not talk about the card or share with the world and have it fail down the track.

Simples.

Yup. I think the nail in the coffin was massive use of these type cards by thieves who would steal IRS tax refund checks and deposit them to these reloadable cards. This was a HUGE scam about 3 years ago.

This is like talking to a brick wall.

Those that gotta have it will have it without considering the consequences.

Proven time and time again.

A secret shared is a secret lost.

My bluebird still works for me, I still love the $0 monthly fee. I kinda see them changing that in the future with enough customers.

Any service with money involved will be approached by the scammers to hit up until causing normal users grief

So the best thing to do is have execs respond to all those posts saying the services are bogus and don't work. Yea, that's what I will do from now on. Haha :heh: :heh:
