Payments to Alibaba China Sellers
 

Every time that i try to make a payment to an Alibaba merchant, i need to call paypal. What happens is, i try to send the money and i get the error "were sorry, we cannot send your payment right now", but i can send money to anyone else other than China.

I normally call paypal and they allow the payment to go thru, (normally a 24 hour window). They say its an automated security system that blocks it.

What makes me nervous is that i feel like eventually i could be raising a red flag with paypal. I dont want to run into any issues with them as this is my real account.

Money laundering is probably what paypal is on the lookout for.

The fact is, many banks are no longer allowing credit card payments outside the USA for US customers, due to the higher risk of fraud. So it is not just PayPal.

Also, I would find another payment method. PayPal does not generally like AliExpress or DHGate. An individual supplier might be OK, but PayPal flat out told me on one occasion that they have had nothing but problems with those websites, including the selling of counterfeit merchandise.

I use my paypal prepaid card for alibaba and aliexpress. Usually $1,300 a charge. Never had a problem. I have Been doing it for years this way with the PayPal prepaid debit card attached to my PayPal.

Clears in few hours on alirxpress,but the funds leave paypal and show completed asap. All charges are always over $1,000.

I know you can't use a Vanilla Visa gift card to buy anything that is in China. Even some eb sales won't go through if the account originates in China.

@OP, I hope you arent using the same PP account to buy from alibaba and SELL on eB (e.g. get money for good sold)

I am the seller just send me a Paypal invoice and i pay him directly. Its not like im paying thru aliexpress website.


hmm, can i just somehow use my AMEX to pay directly to the Chinese merchant?
