PayPal gone to 72hour withdrawal
 

Hi guys

A few months ago when I started on PayPal funds were showing up in my bank after 2 hours

Now whenever I withdraw money it takes 72 hours and then I get an email saying money will be in account after 2 hours

Anyone else getting this? Its bloody annoying it takes so long

Normally it starts on 72 hour withdrawal and goes to 2 over time.

On one account I got down to 2 hour withdrawal and did an unusually large withdrawal. It went back to 72 for a couple more times and then went back to 2.

Dont worry about it. It will revert back to 2 hour eventually.

2-5 days is quite normal - should not be expecting such a fast 2 hour time flip but it may go down in time back to 2 hours

rsot, did you notice this is a UK based thread?

Has not been 2-5 days for some time unless your accounts have the problem.

99% of transactions are going through in this newer faster way.


OP, what bank is involved.

Did notice this UK thread but understood that the expectation is faster than. Good to clarify the bank.

Hsbc was not 2 hours for me...

Sometimes after large withdrawals, or lots of withdrawals in a short space of time it can be increased to 24/72 hours.

After you have made 1 or 2 withdrawals that have required you to wait for 24/72 hours it should go back down to 2 hours

@Rsot - HSBC has been 2 hours for me for a very long time in the UK, how long are your withdrawals taking to HSBC from PP UK?

Thanks JamesNorth - interesting - have done withdrawals but very sparsely...like 1x a month - took about 24 hours maybe 48 - will look into

Its a Natwest


Ive made atleast 5 withdrawals which have taken 72 hours. Ranging between £300 to £500

All my withdrawals are in my bank within 2 hours & show as completed in Paypal straight after withdrawing, i'm with CO-OP

Stealth account is over 2 years old, both verified & confirmed & the withdrawals range from £100-£1000

Never had a problem as yet :)

Thats so strange

It started off within 2 hours and now for last two months its been 72hours

You must have done something to raise some red flags with Paypal.
