Receiving chargebacks while paypal is limited
 

Ok so here's the deal, my PayPal account got limited. I bought an iPhone 4 days ago, and returned it the next day. It was refunded on my PayPal account because I have a paypal card. The problem is my paypal got limited today and the iphone $500 charge is not on it yet. When my PP is limited it says I can't receive funds. Anyone know what I should do at this point?

You're going to have to trust your seller. Try to get your Paypal account limitation lifted first, but if you can't you may need to ask the seller to send the refund to a friend's account, or someone else's Paypal account you know and trust. It's probably the easiest way to go.

i forgot to mention that I bought the iPhone from a store, not a seller on eBay. I used my paypal debit card, how does this change the situation? I called them today, they said they cannot reverse a refund charge.

Just out of curiosity, why did you return the iphone and why did you buy it from an online store?

Refund the Refund if you can then ask for store credit. Then sell that store credit on ebay at least you will get your money back.

Also, another thing people should keep in mind is if your account get limited/closed. Kill the accounts associated with it .. Bank Accounts.. CCs as they might try and dip into them.

Also, Keep a record if you used paypal to buy anything and if you wee smart you used your CC as the source. This way if the account is limited/closed you can go do chargebacks with your CC and PP gets stuck with the Tab or the seller.. either way I won't care... well I would if the seller got it but then again... well lets hope PP gets it....

Now, I have not done this as I have not been limited/closed but I am prepared for the battle if it ever comes and by what Modee keeps saying it should be coming.... Still waiting though, had accounts that are 8 years now... LOL but I am still prepared!!!
