Hi everyone. I am about to receive about $1000 in gifted payment from a buyer. However I am on a new stealth account verified by bank account + prepaid card. Will this limit my account? I have renewed my ip and have deleted all browsing history before making this new paypal.

Please advise.

I promise I am not some scum looking for quick answer without searching. I did do a search and could not find a relevant answer. Please advise.

On a brand new PayPal you do run the risk. No guarantee with PayPal though, but I would think it likely you will have an issue of one sort or another.

If it's being sent as a gift, it's highly likely it will get limited. Do not do it.

What is the best way to go about it then without having the funds withheld for 21 days when I use the invoice?

receiving a such amount into a brand new PP account will most likely get it limited, no matter if the account is verified or not.
At least spread the amount between several accounts. You'll still run the risk, but at least your eggs wont be in the same basket.

If he wants to use Paypal, there really isn't any other way. But if he's more than happy to send it via gift and therefore doesn't care about the buyer protection then surely he'd send it to you via a different method?

yes, keep in mind you will bit hit with small fee's.
but it will lessen the possibility of being limited.

Spread the amount on a few accounts, you are risking that pp & the money

$1000 on a 2 day paypal? i hate paypal but come on...this is the biggest risk i have heard of. you will get the 1000 for sure but just remember the second you attempt to use it in anyway, the system will lock you out with "we are going to call you" and then at that point you have to refund the money because even if you send it to a different paypal, the other paypal will get locked out too. i think in a way this is a very soft limitation.

i have done it, i transferred 1800 from 3 new accounts to my main paypal which caused linking. i can tell you, i had to get very creative to get that money out because on every paypal they locked me out.

listen to the other people because its just common sense...i would suggest 100 per paypal if new. plus dont you have an old paypal that you have not used for a while. those have better chance of receiving these amounts. i also suggest having the person sending you 199.99 over 5 days because 1000 at once may limit your account on the spot.

I would never risk that. If you need the money immediately and they are willing to send a "gift" payment with no liability, go get a WU or MG transfer.

I don't understand why paypal would limit my account for this? Isn't the whole purpose to receive and send money? I mean my account is verified what more is there to verify?

Would Paypal really limit my account and say "sorry we don't trust that your account is "really verified" please send us x y z documents..."???

You said new stea.lth with a very large amount of money. They will freeze the money and ask for all kinds of identity including SSN.

They have to protect themselves from fra.ud. You have a lot to learn about moving money, especially online.

Is 1000 really that big of a deal?

Would you recommend splitting it to 500 in verified stealth and 500 to another stealth without bank linked? I don't have anymore accounts. Just 2. Although I could technically get a 3rd by asking a friend to take the deposit for me.

In these days of paypal, even 100 dollars is a big deal

Especially for a young stealth account.

It may be best to break the payments up by either:

Multiple accounts

or

Multiple smaller withdrawal amounts.

500 is still too great an amount.

They do this with accounts that make over a 100k a week that have been verified up to wazzu.

They trust no one and can ask for the moon and the stars at anytime.

This is what you are signing up to when you make an account with them.

99.9% will be limited.. But if the payment outside of ebay no one can predict it..

This is for payment outside Ebay. I received a 500 gifted payment right now and it is "Under Review". Should I go ahead and issue a refund? My account has not yet been limited and I got scared so I de-linked my bank

based on my experience with paypal I would refund it and dump the account.

I would wait til others respond too with their best guess, no one can tell you what will happen besides paypal.

better then getting 500 trapped in a stealth although it may be too late already,

who knows if the refund will even work. also yes very bad idea to try have the guy mail u a check or money order

Well....Since you already went ahead and did it, you might as well wait to see if it clears or not.

The damage has been done at this point and a refund will almost certainly raise even more flags.

$250 for the first month, $500 the second, $1000 the third?

Why are you posting such a post when you said in your opening post you had READ the forum?

We state right thro' the paypal section what types of tricks paypal do.

Majority of posts are based on the sad experiences of users. Like you they thought paypal was OK.

Unless you know how to use them, you run the risk of being limited.

If you proceed with this, your chances of being limited are very high.

Btw i reduced the amount to 500 not 1000. No limit on my account. Only the amount is under review.

Stop messing with it... should of just left it alone. When it showed under review called in and talked about it and made them feel better....

You would be surprised what calling in can do... I was testing a thing with them and got my funds released before i even shipped out the items to customers on a new account
