Website, Static IP and Paypal
 

Heres the story...

I have a website I have been using for awhile...It has a static IP Address and I host on Fatcow..When I first started, I used the paypal buttons on my website along with ebay sales...Legit....2 Years ago is when my competitor got me booted from ebay...just like so many other stories here on ebay...So both ebay and paypal was down...My first concern was for the website...I had to take the buttons off the website...

Like so many others..i rushed and made up different paypal accounts...put the different buttons on the website...but would get booted quick...now looking back...pretty sure its because of the statis IP...

So I found Google checkout and used that for years and was happy with that service until they stopped in November...Then I switched everything over to WePay..despite the reviews...I liked them...easy to use, different shipping options...I like the ease of making the buy it now buttons...and Now they are stopping the buttons and going directly to API which sucks because they are the last company that I can find that use that method...

I dont do enough sales to warrent spending...a monthly fee on a shopping cart...and then a card processor like brain tree...

I have been on stealth on ebay for around 2 years with a main account on both the bay and paypal...and things have been going well..

I guess the question is...if I can get Fatcow to change my IP address...am I going to be alright with putting the paypal buttons back on the website...

I feel it might be a risk...and everything is going well...I would like some thoughts from the board members..

Even just changing the IP isnt enough - PP will see that the source is your own website which has been associated to numerous PP accounts...problem is that sooner or later, any new PP will fail due to linking.

Easy fix for actual payments buy some cheap domains named like paypalpaymentsprocess.info or something like that redirected buyers on your site when they are ready to buy to a pp button to checkout on that new domain. You can even use a squeezer with a redirect so pp cant even see site buyer was on before the buy it now click. Any questions just ask.

Hi Steve, I guess your website may be popular, here are your options

1. Backup your website
2. Buy a new domain from a different host
3. Redirect users from current domain to new domain
4. Put buttons on new domain
PayPal will see a new IP and you are in business.

NOTE: If you have no regrets to give up the domain, start afresh but migrate your site.

I hope this is not complicated for somebody already stealthing.

Can also use a service like 2checkout to process paypal payments, so you dont have to directly associate stealth accounts to a website

CCNow also can work - 5% fee per transaction though

Unfortunately 2co does not suit me, my product is banned for sale through 2co.
