I need a solution to this message " We couldn't verify this phone number. Please choose a different phone number or add a new number. " PP wants to send me a text massage to verify its my PP account, I tried tracphone/googlevoice non working. Please help.

Are you trying to withdraw funds? I went thru the same thing the other day it has to be a landline. i used a call forward service to my landline had no problems..

Hi, what is the call forwarding service you used? i dont have a landline, can i use to forward to my cell? . I was trying to withdrawal $100 out of my pp and its asking to send me a text message.

Xboxxman111, I dont advice using this company Toll Free Forwarding dot com since I did research and it seems like they give the same number to other users which may link ur pp account.

Any one else can tell me which company do i use for PP to accept my number and how is pp determine that the number is not verifiable?

I have 10 accounts no problems i just went thru it with PP had over 4k wount transfer till they verify my phone got my money

I just bought basicTalk home phone service, added to PP and it still gives me this message "We couldn't verify this phone number. Please choose a different phone number or add a new number."

We're sorry, but we weren't able to confirm your identity and can't let you add a bank account at this time."

The thing with tracphone it will work sometimes and there are times it will not work.:s:confused:

I used a Tracfone/Verizon prepaid earlier and they worked just fine, 12 hours later I tried using two separate Tracfones on two different PayPal accounts and neither worked. I think PayPal is having issues at the moment >_>.

I just tried using my phone through AT&T, which is not a prepaid, and it didn't work either. Just letting you guys know, you might have problems verifying your phone tonight/tomorrow.

Theremis no magic phone to add to get around this paypal hurdle , however overtime you will realize what triggers this and avoid it all together

The issue here is when u trip up a security measure and than they ask to verify ur location by your phone number , it is,not in the phone that u use when creating the account

2 ways to get around this. 1st make sure you have a working number before creating the paypal. Whatever tracfone gv etc. Keep it alive as long as the paypal is alive. If you messed up and lost your original number I've never got a new number to work. 2nd solution is an emergency only kind of can't post it but it works to avoid this issue.

No sometimes if you do something like add a new bank, or log in with a new IP or from a new location and try to withdraw funds than they will ask to send a code to your phone , and it will only work 10% of the Tim because it verifies thee phone with the address and usually comes back we can not verify, I received this twice when starting stealth , the key is to not trip this up, now I operatee from same user account all the time and correct IP and never an issue in a year

I've never had it happen to me like how you explained. The only time they have asked to confirm location by phone is after limitation. That is very strange, I hope I never occur that problem.

Yea if u operate correct u want get it , it is a beginners mistake and hard to overcome , I received it when I first started a year ago and it was from logging in and withdrawing from my phone on a public IP

I have similar situation. I added tracfone and it says "we're going to send you a text message" and I click ok send now and it never comes through and when I try to get them to call it says cannot verify.

I can also go in under phone numbers and click to confirm and it will say "we have sent a confirmation code" but the text message never comes through.

That happened to me once. I let it sit for a day or two then used a different IP to log in...the message was gone. I sent only 50 bucks to the bank once a week until it trusted me then I enlarged it up slowly.

Basic things that could affect verifying a phone number would be following instructions. Lets see:
123-456-7890
123-4567890
123456-7890
1234567890
These are all different for many sites. Sometimes, we rush into putting characters between numbers when they are not required. I have used several providers, no problem verifying phone number.

Could it be something with the records on the tracfone side of things? I noticed they didn't have a space for the state and city and you kind of had to jam it all in one box.

Mobile phone numbers don't confirm location. Only landline numbers do that.

Same problem.
I have two business accounts and both registered with the same phone number (home, land-line). But now I'm living at the other state and can't access this phone.
If I try to add a new bank account Paypal ask me to receive phone call to this phone. And I can't add the new phone - "we couldn't verify this phone".
What is the solution? Anybody help me?

This happened to my fiancé had a warning message on his PayPal account about confirming identity. Said they needed to call the number to verify identity. It was on a new account after using it a couple if days. He was able to get the call and confirm.
