Vanilla Gift Cards

I read the stealth guide and am working on all the steps to get a new PP account. Going to get a vanilla gift card today to make purchases. What will I put as the Billing address when I check out? Can I just register that all online after I buy the card?

Re: Vanilla Gift Cards

I'm pretty sure vanilla has gift cards and prepaid credit cards. I used the prepaid credit card, went to the website and put in the zip code of the address I was using. Worked like a charm

Re: Vanilla Gift Cards

Hi k311! You simply register the gift card online in stealth zipcode and verify it w/ pp and later you add bank info to withdrew your fund, correct ? Im about to open a stealth ac so still learning. ...Thanks

Re: Vanilla Gift Cards

I do not know about Vanilla Visa Gift Cards. I do know that Vanilla Visa Prepaid Cards work. After you purchase the card at a retailer, you will want to go home and go online to onevanilla.com. It will ask you for your card number, exp date, sec code on back. Enter all that in, then to the right side you'll see a spot to enter a zip code. Use the same zip code that matches you stealth account <--- don't forget that part! When paypal uses that card to verify your address, the only thing they are truly verifying is your that your card zip code matches your stealth paypal zip code.
When I first did this, it was hard for me to wrap my head around until I actually bought the card and went online. So give it a whirl!

Activation does not require ssn right?

so many types of vanilla are there....from ur post i guess need to make sure that i am not getting vanilla "gift" card. I believe Vanilla visa prepaid card is the right one. Correct me if i am wrong please. Thanks

Activation of a Vanilla Visa Prepaid card DOES NOT require/request/want your SSN. Now, for a prepaid card or gift card. I believe both will work. In fact, I think I accidentally got a gift card before and it worked just fine. But when I go to get VV cards now, I only get Prepaid cards. On another note, there are Vanilla Visa and Vanilla Mastercard Prepaid cards. Both Visa and MC Prepaid has worked for me.

Either of these work:

NO...You don't Need a SSN to get these, you only register the zipcode associated with your Stealth Address.

Yeah, if MM says both work, then both work. MM's advice has always been gold to me.

Re: Vanilla Gift Cards

I just got one Green Dot Reloadable and one Balance Financial Walgreens card.
Both are prepaid cards. GD is visa and Walgreen one is master card. I know there is a huge chance neither will work. I wanted to give it a go. In my local store i could not find one vanilla. Found Vanilla Visa gift card, was not sure about it due to it being a gift card so did not get it.

:( just found out Balance Financial requires SSN. Will need to refund it :(

Ask the cashier at WalGreens about the Vanilla Visa Cards. That's where I get mine at. WalGreens seems like the type of store that if one has those cards, then they all have those cards.

Mm78, what retailer did you get it from? I checked all over the place typing mastercard the perfect card 3 pack, 15 dollars, something along the lines and couldn't find which retailer carries it. Great deal btw. 4.95 to activate 3 accts vs 3.95 to activate 1 acct with the 25 dollar vanilla visa. 1.65 per acct. if its 4.95 to activate the 4 pack then it's 1.23 to activate, assuming that's true. That's a deal! lol. Thanks.

Hey bro, Well I'm in Southern California and the only 2 stores that carry these in my area are Ralphs and Albertsons.

Here is a phone number you might be able to call to see if they offer them in your area.

866-952-5663

After you select language, the system will ask you to enter card number, after it ask...if you enter 0# a few times it will transfer you over to a live rep.

Re: Vanilla Gift Cards

I just purchased a vanilla gift card. I am a bit confused. It doesn't let me register it on line to assign a zip code. Also the gift card isn't reloadable, I am guessing that I will then have to put another card on my pp account later. Should I just go and trade up for the reloadable vanilla card?

MM78 03-08-2014 10:48 AM

Re: Vanilla Gift Cards

1. Go to https://www.vanillavisa.com/home.htm...ard&csrfToken=
2. Enter the Cards details
3. Click on Assign Zipcode
4. Enter the zipcode for stealth address
5. Send me $20
6. done.

Re: Vanilla Gift Cards

i have two questions,
1. vanilla visa works for Amaz0n gh0st new accounts ? i remember reading one story before that it did not verify the new account ?

2. new PP interface , as of recent , you can see the PP page has some option that says "we accept prepaid cards... " this did not exist before. does this affect our usage of PP ?

SaiJin 03-13-2014 07:03 PM

Re: Vanilla Gift Cards

1. It should work fine as long as you register the zip code that matches first .

2. No, it shouldn't affect anything. Just keep going as the stealth guide says.

Re: Vanilla Gift Cards

will these work to limit the $500 monthly limit on an existing stealth paypal account? or are they just to set up the account and not intended as a long-term fix?

what I'm basically asking is whether a VCC or one of these vanilla cards is the way to go to lift the limit. don't want to accidentally ruin a perfectly good stealth account, haha

pokerpro 03-16-2014 11:09 PM

Re: Vanilla Gift Cards

The last time i used a Vanilla Visa GIFT card, I didn't even have to go online and register it...I just put the numbers into PP and it worked fine?

Can I use this card anyway if I will have more than £300 every month on my PP account?
