Name on Paypal Bank Account
 

When setting up a new account Paypal is saying that the name on my bank account statement must match the name on my paypal account exactly or all deposits and withdraws will fail. I was under the impression that the name on the bank account didn't matter and that everything was tied to the bank account number and routing. Can someone clarify? Thanks

Paypal has no Idea whos name is on the bank account. The bank might care but paypal has no way of knowing

Thats why its there, to throw you. They want you to think stealth wont work.

Paypal will scare you like that but banks wont release information like that so Paypal couldnt find out

Longest standing joke by paypal to try to fool people.

Make the bank account in your real name.

Make the paypal account in your stealth name.

Ensure you pick a bank that is mismatch name friendly.

Great! Thanks for the responses. I'm using Wells Fargo. I'm also having a problem getting my VCC verified. I think the zip code is incorrect on it. If I change the billing address on file with Paypal to match the zip code on the card the card billing address won't match the mailing address on the account. Everything would be the same except the zip. Will this cause any red flags?

What VCC are you using? changing billing address can cause some issues, try changing VCC address to the correct address.
