21 day holds outside of ebay
 

In paypals terms of service there used to be a part that said something like:

21 day holds outside of ebay will be lifted once you have been a paypal member for 90 day, have sales of $250 and so many transactions...

Does anybody know if this is still the practice and if so can you link me to this information?

I'm not sure but I never had a hold on funds that were from outside of eBay and on many US paypal accounts

This CAN still happen and PP seems to be increasing on off-eB holds...dont be surprised if it happens to your account OP

Off ebay holds happen.

Looked over the fine print.

Could not find the statement you mentioned.

However users here have reported off ebay holds in the past 3 months.

I have sold off ebay for years and never got a hold that I can remember.

Others have posted they did.

Thinking if it looks suspicious or is a very large amount it can happen.

I should add that I actually get these holds on ALL my NEW accounts!

You must be selling some high price or extremely risky items.

yes I had hold for 21 days after the sale through the button. Account's age is 1 week.
I would like to know more detail.

These off-ebay paypal transactions tend to get 21 day holds where risk is involved. That could mean, for example, you have a Canadian Paypal but 100% of your payments are sent from the UK.

I have done some tinkering with various international Paypal accounts. All of them got 21 day holds when funds were sent from UK paypal accounts. Holds were applied until 90 days had elapsed since first payment received and there had been a minimum of 10 transactions done without chargeback or dispute.
