[Help] Send money wrong paypal address

Hello

I sent some money to my friend, but I was sent to another account by mistake. Please give me some advice, how can I get it back!

I sent in the form of friends, family

If the email you sent too doesn't exist you can always create the email and open a paypal with that email and collect the funds.

If someone owns that email you can contact them and ask politely to send you the funds back and pray.

If you sent it to an email that isn't attached to an PayPal account, you can just cancel it. If not, you'll have to try and dispute it. Paypal will not reverse the payment for you otherwise

I done this once, £200 for some speakers sent as gift

I contacted the email many times and lucky in a few months they refunded my money. Thought for sure i was out of pocket, was a nightmare at the time because money was tight

I Wont send as gift anymore

You're lucky because once you've sent a gift payment you can't reverse it. Only a receiver can refund it.

I sent a payment to the wrong email address using PayPal. I was off by one letter. I could not find an option online to reverse. I called PayPal and got the money back. I'm glad you got your money back.
