Paypal tracking via email?

I have just made a new paypal account from different computer/differnt ISP but I've accidentally opened the paypal welcome email from the pc which was used to access the recently limited account though i didn't click any link from that email. The gmail's show picture in the email is enabled. Can paypal link the new account to my old account.

In other way, do PayPal indulge in beacon tracking practices?
When I visit the email, no cookies were created by paypal so I don't think beacon was there in their email.

Paypal does use beacon tracking - now that being said, 1 time is unlikely to cause trouble but you should 1) AVOID from now on 2) understand linknig by reading stealth guide.

Can never be 100% sure with pp.

Can paypal beacons read stored cookies or just ipaddress?
But when I visit the email, no cookies were created, isn't it a sign of no beacon presence?

PayPal can read cookies, IP address and a fair number of others things (your ISP, browser footprint ect)

Re: Paypal tracking via email?

Paypal Can't track you from emails. (if you don't click any link in the email)

Also it's not possible for websites to read your stored cookies on your computer. (Even CIA.gov website) if you don't visit any link from your emails, the websites can't see your ip address from that email. but if you download any file with the format (PDF, DOC,) it's possible for websites to know your real ip when you open your files on your PC.

So, If you don't visit any website, that website can't track you. (There is just one Exemption: "Third party cookies" and you can prevent browser from storing the third party cookies but it's not good way, because some websites may not work well.)

Always disable "Flash plugins even when you are using VPN" you can take a look at your web fingerprint in this website. https://panopticlick.eff.org/

I hope it help.
