eBay Suspended & PayPal Limited Forums - Soscial Security verification

I've done a search and seen a lot of people asking about verifying their SS with either ebay or paypal. But nothing that answers my question.

How can I tell if I ever gave this information to either? Is there a way to search by logging into either account and seeing if they have it?

They ask you for the information, if they didn't ask you for it then you didn't give it to them.

So there is no way to log into you account and see if it's on there or if you gave it to them?

I created my account YEARS ago...I defiantly can't remember if they would have ever ask me for that info or not and was hoping there would be a way to check by looking at the account online.

Yes there is a way to tell if you have entered this information.
1 - Log into you PP account.
2 - Click on the "Profile" link. Not one of its auto drop down selections.
3 - Click on "Identification Preference" ~ 1st column & last item.

This will tell you what information you have entered as your "Indentification Preferences"
If you have NOT entered it you should see a "ADD" link beside the words "Social Security Number"
If you have I am not sure what you will see as I have not entered mine.
Maybe it will say "Change"? That is what it says on the lines of information that I have added.

Ok, mine doesn't have anything in there other than to add my SS and that if I was to call customer service, they would need to verify one of those items. So, I guess I've never gave it to them.

Do we have to give ebay our SS#? Or is this just a pp thing?
