confused on banking info!
 

I opened a ebay and paypal account yesterday. in paypal I entered account numbers and a gift card... no problems so far. Now before i can sell i need to enter financial information to ebay. what do I enter? Bank account numbers? Gift card #? Will I need a VCC? Anyone on now?

I believe they want bank info because the item you may be trying to list might be high risk or of high value.

Have you Removed the $500 withdraw limit?

may want to start with lifting the $500 then possibly adding a VBA or Real Bank Account.

it will ask you, in ebay, to link your paypal account to your ebay account.

I tried to list one auction for low price brand item.

Removing the $500 limit I entered my pp how do I get the 4 digit code as this is not an actual credit or debit card

Just wait and confirm your bank account with the 2 small deposits then link pp to eBay. Sounds like gift card is not working or you did it wrong. If you add cc you should be able to list. . I think it helps to confirm paypal before trying to link and list but could just be a myth. Just the way I always done it.

I'm not sure what you mean or what you did???...but the norm, is put a gift card number in, they charge $1.95 on it, and when you look at your statement online for that card, there is a 4 digit code with it...that's what you enter on the PP website.

I attempted to place my first auction with auctiva, the listing failed saying that eBay needs my credit card on file I am not going to give it to them. I will just link my PayPal, which is now done.

Now I only need to wait for the code. (I just rembered I set up a password for the prepaid) then I hope I can start the auction.

Why did you EVEN try to sell anything without having your account in order to sell?

These days, you are asking to get an MC999 at once.

May I ask you to stop ruining accounts and read more of the forum.

Otherwise this will backfire. The days of making accounts, no payment sources are gone.

I have not used eBay in many years and have forgotten the process to initially set up the account. I thought I could just enter my pp email address to link payment... I was wrong. I'm sure setting up accounts becomes easy when you have done it many times. But this is my first account in years.

I will start with selling low risk generic stuff. I sure hope its not to late and my account is ruined.

Well, you have already started listing...best to go slow - read more around the forums.

I prefer that the pp has a credit card and bank on file before associating with eB to start sales
