Anyone get this email?
 

This is going to make it difficult to receive gift payments now. And if you receive as goods then they will ask for SSN (200 transactions or more). Or Tax ID number. What would you guys recommend I do? I just opened a new stealth account due to my current one being limited.

Open more paypal accounts and spread your sales so you don't get asked for tax ID

I figured that would be the only option, I make anywhere between $400 -$500 a day. I also accept Google Wallet but PayPal is the dominant payment method by far. I was told that Ally bank wasn't good for withdrawing? Some say they get called when they try to withdraw and while searching around i've found other members who have no issues what so ever.

Better options than Ally exist. That bank has cause grief for users.

Keep in mind you are earning money so you need to pay taxes.

Dont mind the paying taxes, That's the least of my worries. What other banks could i use that you can sign up with online? I do have BofA and recently closed and re opened a personal account. Ill be using that one on another stealth account. I also have a chase but im going to have to open a savings account since the checking is already being used with another account i have. If you know of other online banks i can use let me know! Thanks

Be careful with savings accounts, not ideal with stealth because you only get a few withdrawals by law a month on a savings or they will close the account


There are a lot of threads just type in bank accounts or online bank accounts in the search box

The search is a good place to start, but things change often , banks that worked today may not tomorrow and vice versa

And always new banks and prepaid debit cards comming out


Best thing is to use the search function here and also just use google and experiment yourself

I got these notices a while back with one of my main business accounts. I had been running gift payments and legitimate business invoices through it. They came as a different type of notice via email though.. Their system doesn't really distinguish between the two. I was getting these notices regardless og legitimacy or not.. It seems they do start counting this even if you start getting a lot of gift type payments. Right or wrong.. In my case, they were wrong and my account still got in trouble and limited, even after I sent in a complaint to stop sending me these invalid notices.

Hence the issue on having multiple accounts I guess..

Im going to have to open more stealth accounts. I get $400-$500 a day in payments i guess i gotta space it out during certain days. To avoid having all going to one account. Ill keep looking around for other options.

Don't stress, this is what we all deal with every day here, and 400-500 a day isn't a huge amount , very easily you can spread that out

You can create one account with a tax ID also and than spread some sales out over several accounts as well

Where can I get a tax ID? the first account i made stealth is already asking for one.

Thanks for the tip about the multi accounts . I could use 3 accounts and use one every other day.

You basically need to start a business

You need to incorporate, there are many online services that will do this for you

The tax ID you can apply for one yourself from the IRS,

But wont the Tax ID need to match the paypal name? Bummer, I own a small business already and ive already used that tax ID for another buisness account that was already limited.... I guess that option wont work for me since ive already got a tax ID

Yes the EIN needs to Match your DBA and u need to use that DBA and when you upgrade to a business paypal account the DBA needs to be your paypal name

Once used on an account it cannot be used again on another account , it will link and limit the account

So if i wanted a new EIN number I would need a new business name and DBA? Could i get a new one even tho i have a tax ID already?

Question regarding EIN.


There are 2 lines on the SS-4 form.

1. Legal name of entity(or individual) for whom EIN is being requested.
2. Trade Name of Business(if different from name on line 1)


So would that be. 1. My real name that is being used with my SSN associated?
2. The business name that i am going by?


What is being shown to Paypal?

Just curious... Have anyone structured 1 ebay with 2+ paypal? In order to avoid pp 200/20k limit?

were you asking your buyers to send you $ via the friends/family transfer? How did you even initiate this?

seems like it would be a red flag to facilitate.

Not recommended due to inherent linking....it's easy for PP to sniff this out
