21 days withhold problem
 

hello,

I'm from Morocco and I own a verified paypal account based on a morocco, but it doesn't have a succesful selling history so they withhold my money on the pending balance for 21 days ;/

Is there any trick to bypass this withhold period ?

No way to get around it, you just have to grin and bear it for the first 90 day, 25 sales and $250 in sales....at least that's what it is in the US.

get a good selling history.

Ive been on here for a while only as a watcher , but I have learned that with new accounts creating an actual invoice for the buyer under create invoice page and to the right select "Due on this date" and set to the same day you are sending the invoice. I had not had one hold on any of my new stealth accounts that way . 4 times so far and no holds otherwise when I try to get people to send directly to me or just request money I frequently get holds. I have been studying paypal for a while . I know a lot of things most people do not even post here. Hope its helpful! If you already have an account with the 21 day hold complete as much of the tasks you can under your funds availablility page and give paypal a calll and talk to them . Usually an account specialist can over look the account and may remove the hold for you . Depends on the person I notice:humble:

It's more with sales on eBay, I never had a hold on any payment received outside of eBay but for the first 3 months any sale on eBay will have a hold on it, but if u upload tracking, it will be available 3 days after status is delivered and most times released one day prior so the 21 day hold really is 5-6 days if you ship same day handling and priority mail

Where do I find the create invoice page? I see the "send invoice" but I dont see anything that allows me to specify a date etc.,. Are these 2 different pages?

Click on send invoice and from there u will create and send an invoice

Paypal and eBay has made sure sellers had no way around that 21 day hold I'm afraid.

Really no such thing as 21 day holds anyway.

On my new accounts I ship fast and money is released within days of tracking showing it to be delivered.

I have sold 23 items so far on ebay (+$1400 total sales) all with tracking information manually entered into eBay and paPal. Not one case logged or negative feedback and not one of my payments have arrived earlier than 2-2 1/2 weeks. NOT ONE.

A couple days just past my 90 day trial period and I sold another item... same result 2 week hold. I emailed eBay asking why (because I called paypal and they said they had no contol over it and to call eBay) and the reply was that I have only 16 transactions within the last 60 days.

WTF... why are the only counting transactions from the last 60 days while my 90 day restriction from my first sale just ended??

Ive talked to eBay twice and got two reply's to my email questions but its always peice meal. Not once have I received a comprehensive (thorough explanation) of the process or what I need to do to rectify the problem. Can anyone give a FULL and COMPLETE explanation? If you can it would be a great great help to me and the original poster.

By the way I understand it may be much much simpler process for those of you actually located and selling in the US or even North America but it seems to be a much bigger cluster F*&k for those of us outside the US.

The latest info from eBay is this.

Regarding new selling accounts there are three primary criteria, of course assuming NO cases or complaints logged against your account.

90 day trial period.
At least $250 in sales.
At least 25 transactions IN the USA.

The last one here of 25 transactions to buyers in the US is what is holding me up. I have 25 transactions but only 16 of them were to US buyers, hence my funds are still being held.

Ive loaded up on some cheap items and set the shipping policy to US only but I was also told the buyers must be different for each transaction. If one buyer buys 3 items... it only counts as 1.

angiex01 my advice is to do the same within the first 90 days. Post as many cheap items as you can and only sell to US buyers. At the end of the 90 days (from the date of your first sale) the restriction should expire.

You can't go by what eBay tells you over the phone, if you ask the same question to 10 different reps you will get 10 different answers

Just keep selling he holds will lift, it's not exactly 90 days and the holds are gone but that is the average time and if you are selling throughout hose 90 days

I recently had 6 accounts have the holds lifted all around 100-110 days as a seller account

Stop talking to eB and drawing attention to your account. There is no simple solution - a lot can also depend on wtf you are selling...keep that in mind (not insulting your product but just saying that there is NO coverall solution)

Ive come to the same conclusions: 1. eBay reps all give different answers.. no comprehensive guidelines or source of info 2. there are no ways to get around the 'hold' selling good/great items, positive feedback, etc... its like death. Unavoidable.

I wanted to communicate those conclusions to the original poster... a lot of the things Ive heard others advising about good products, service, tracking numbers, etc... its all BS. No way around the hold so we all just have to grind it out.

No offense taken and I understand what you mean about the product. I have no reason to shy away or hide from eBay but again I understand what your saying and kind of thought the same thing.... so I made an effort to be polite, articulate, and concise in the emails.
