Changing bank and asked to verify ID
 

I went to change my bank details, deleted the old bank and tried to add a new one. Ebay says they want to verify my identity by calling or texting me. I let my Tracphone number go so I tried to add a Google Voice number I have and Ebay said that my name was not associated with that phone number. Very strange.

So I guess I need to get a new Tracphone number.

My question is I have items for sale that are closing. Will Paypal hold my funds until I add a new bank account? I don't need to withdrawal it to a bank, I just use the balance to pay for goods.

I have my reasons. Will Paypal hold funds when no bank account is attached?

Can I use my Paypal balance to pay Paypal invoices to another Paypal email?

No PayPal won't hold the funds because you removed your bank account.
You just won't be able to get it out until you do.

Hmmm, not doing stealth well here.

Next time, NEVER delete a bank account.

Just add one and be vigilant when you do payments that you use the correct one.

Why did you say ebay want to ID you? That's weird.

I'm not talking about invoicing myself from another stealth account. I want to pay for some product for my Amazon account. Can I do it or not?

What does your paypal currently say?

It should tell you what is doable or not

keeping the active tel # on the TracFone is difficult. as it expires 90 days then tel # can become inactive and recycled.

for Google voice , linked to a mobile phone , can GV "forward along" the text that PP sends? one time i remember trying to receive the text and it would NOT come to my mobile line which was connected to the GV tel #

Not sure if you made a typo or not but Amazon does not work on the PP system...
